I love your work. Your arrangements are soft and romantic. I have a few questions. One would be how long in advance would I need to get flower if I wanted to do some arrangement for my wedding? I see sometime you get flowers and they’re tightly in a bud but if you let them open over a few days they open more and look better. Also how to prepare flowers for an arrangement before hand. Do you get your flower several days in advance? And if so what do you do with them?

Another exceptionally good video. I think I could manage to do a small number of events which means I can still design but I don’t have to work every weekend! The other point about subscription work is being tied into those clients every week. And your point about how the grocery stores have changed the purchasing of flowers, you are right, it has. And really the only way is value adding where clients are willing to pay for that value which is special events like weddings. Much appreciate this video. You have given me more to think about.

Really good advice, thank you! I have been in the Interior Design business for nearly 40 years and probably should have done floristry….but anyway I am doing it now from home. I have started growing my own flowers, I have retired but I cannot stop designing and working with flowers. I just love it. Your videos have helped me to have a go and I now have regular clients. This video helped to put things in perspective, and yes I to want the flexibility to have time doing other things also and not once again tie myself down to a business with regular clients needs to meet. I’ve done that a long time, so thank you Katherine. I will continue to play and not lock myself in too much.. at least I’ll try! It’s hard when you love flowers so much😊
