Hello to everyone. My husband and I decided to move to our homestead in 2017. We bought almost 50 acres, mostly all mountains around us. But we do have approx. 5 acres of usable land. We try to use as much natural resources as possible. We are not off grid. We have a 20x10 cattle panel greenhouse and a 24x48 garden. We grow all our own veggies and herbs. We have 8 chickens which we use for eggs...
You never had homemade pasta until you have tried this

Recipe. 4 cups of sifted flour 4 large eggs 1/4 cup water 1 teaspoon salt. Now for two people, you can cut this recipe in half. Believe me. This recipe makes lot of pasta.

Using that bread to make tomato sandwiches with homegrown tomatoes would be delicious.
That does sound good.
❤❤❤❤❤ Looks great 🍞
Thank you, its tastes really good.
Hello, You are beautiful! Thanks for letting us know of the many uses for Epsom salt. Continued prayers for you!
Thank you Donna. I appreciate the comment.
@@polettirosahomestead7075 You are very welcome! Great job on videos 📹 👏, I love them!!
You look like a badass rock star!! I love epsom salt. Does so many amazing things. Congratulations on finishing your treatments!!
Thank you Cassie
You don’t look bald on camera. You look like you have a platinum blonde buzzcut like 80s and 90s female rockstars. They paid good money for that style. I think you look better with shorter hair. You’re focusing too much on the hair when you should be noticing how great your skin looks. Maybe the shorter hair is bringing focus to your face more because you look younger lately. The hard part is over. Don’t get trapped in the difficulties of the past and look toward a better future. It’s all uphill from here.
Thank you Kitty
Don't put them in cold water or they will crack???? Um, aren't you going to crack them anyway?
Thank you
🙏 Continue to mend, prayers for you
You're an amazing woman, Donna. Keep up the good work, and continue to mend!🙏
Thank you, I will
Miss you! Jessica told me a wile back about this. I pray you have a speedy recovery ur the best and always stay positive ❤ I’ve moved into my place btw I live in goose creek sc now it’s so beautiful here definitely gonna start watching ur stuff more when I have time ur sloppy Joe was soooooo good also started a garden like she has kinda but less pretty.. a dude version of her utopia
Wow, how come so far away? Miss you also had so much fun you both
Great recipe. I add a tablespoon of salt to the boiling water and the eggs peel easily. Thanks for sharing this recipe with all of us to enjoy.
I smiled seeing your face. I was wondering how you were doing and there you were. I love the green turban!! Our tomatoes this year have been so slow. I'm in MT and we are usually done by now but so many of our plants haven't ripened yet. Neighbors are saying the same thing. Very weird year for us.
I think you look great in the turban. You look younger and your smile becomes the focal point. You have a nice smile so it’s good to put it on display. Frankly, you should wear turbans even when your hair regrows. There are some fabulous ones from the 1930s when they were in vogue which you can use as inspiration. Not everyone can pull off the look, but you can. Stick with it. I grew one seed from the Thai pepper seeds you sent me in May. It is my most magnificent plant in the garden! It was late to start peppers in May for us in zone 4a, but I was too impatient to wait to grow that variety next year so I sacrificed a seed as a test. It caught up with my other hot peppers and is outperforming them! I just wanted to let you know that your kindness in giving seeds away did not go unappreciated.
Kitty sometimes I do a video because you always bring a smile to my face, love reading your comments. This faze of chemo, I get very emotional and after reading your comment, I starting crying. I wish you lived closer, I would love to have someone like you as a friend. If you ever want to just text me or email me my email address is mom2bank@comcast.net. If you email me, I will send you my phone number to text me, if interested. Thank you again.
@@polettirosahomestead7075 We can be email “pen pals”. I got rid of my cell phone plan years ago. I never call anyone so why spend that money? I’ll send you an email soon. I want to attach a picture of that pepper plant so you can see how healthy it is. The bumble bees are obsessed with it which is the best part. When I look at it I always think of you and say a little prayer that you end up being as healthy as that tough little plant.
I am glad to see you! I hope you get to feeling better soon.
Thank you Cassie. Just trying to put a video once in awhile to make me feel “normal”. I just don’t cook or do gardening or much of anything, I am so tired. Thank you for your comment, so refreshing.
So many people have cancer right now that these videos are probably really helpful for others with it. Do whatever is necessary to get better and trust that we’ll be here when you return full time. God bless you, Donna. I hope this next week is better than the last one.

Why so mean folks? You don't like just click elsewhere. And where can we find your perfect videos?
Thank you. Means a lot. This cancer is getting to me and emotions are flying.
Don’t forget the capers!
What is a “clean egg”? Great comment section!
Yes they were
So happy that you are doing well! Big hugs to you! xoxo~Alicia
Thank you so much!
Alicia. Things have gotten a little bit more worse. I have all kinds of mouth sores, especially under my tongue. My lower lip has a massive blister on it. I really want to keep doing videos, I don’t want to loose any subscribers, but I may not be able to do a video and talk. We will see. Thanks so much for your support
@@polettirosahomestead7075 Oh gosh! I hope your symptoms resolve quickly. I am praying for your health and healing. Blessings to you!
I sprinkle half my eggs with cayenne pepper and the other half with dill. So good!
Well I’ve always used sweet pickle relish in my deviled eggs yolk mixture. But if you take the white egg part, and roll them in planko breadcrumbs and deep fry that part before adding the yolk mixture. Deep fried deviled eggs are the schizen!
Sounds great!
The secret ingredient to deviled eggs is deviled ham. You can leave out the mustard and they will still have plenty of flavor. Don't leave the devil out of your deviled eggs, oy you'll have hell to pay.
Only boil for one minute and take off the heat and cover for 17 min. Then put in an ice bath for several minutes and the eggs come out perfectly, tender and cooked to perfection!
Sweet or dill pickles?
Sweet
No vinegar I had it and no pickle juice
Do you ever make homemade tomato soup? My tomatoes are finally ripening and I love a good tomato soup. Wondering whether you have a recipe or any tips because I’ve never made this soup using fresh tomatoes.
I think so, but I have to look
Was that Dijon mustard or regular? I assume that was dill pickle juice and not sweet pickle??
Reg mustard we use, but that is your choice. Same with pickle juice, we use sweet.
Mom’s secret ingredient was to add some Underwood Deviled ham. Everyone loves them!
Sweet pickle juice or dill pickle juice?
Sweet pickle juice
@@polettirosahomestead7075 Thank you
Did you put salt in your water why boiling? That makes it easy to peel.
Sometimes I do. My eggs were very easy to peel. They were fresh from my chickens
They look great.
Thank for sausage and potato casserole. I’ll be trying that soon. New subscriber here.
Thank you for subscribing
I’ve decided not to do her recipe. She has lots of mis information!!!!
No, older eggs are harder to peel. Chunks of egg come off with egg shell.
I use my eggs that are a few weeks old.
I made an effort to study salt n its origins. Results are that all salts regardless where they come from or color they are the same. Sodium!!!! So stop spending extra$$ on exotic salts!!
DID YOU RESEARCH < TOXiC CHEMiCALLY MADE "COMMON" TABLE SALT > ? I DiD, & I GREW UP ON THAT ICKY TOXiC SALT, HOWEVER, MY DAD WAS ON A NO SALT DiET....SOOOO WE DiDN'T HAVE SALT IN ANYTHiNG, MOSTLY ! : } LUCKY US, POOR FOLKS. BTW : THE < EXOTiC SALTS >, OFTEN HAVE { MiNERALS WE ALL BENEFiT FROM }. HOPE YOU RESEARCH IT, AS WELL. BiG HUGS.... : }
ACTUALLY..... what you posted..... THAT'S NOT EXACTLY <TRUE >. : } RESEARCH < SODA >, TOO. YOU'LL BE AMAZED. : }
Try horseradish in the eggs it’s really good !!!!
TY : } HOW FUN ! YEP, I'VE PUT RELiSH, SALSA & OTHER THiNGS IN THE FiLLiNG. SOMETiMES, I IMMERSE THE PEELED EGGS....uncut OR "HALVED" With yolk removed... INTO BEET PiCKLE JUiCE, or BEET JUiCE. LOL OR GREEN OLiVE JUiCE... BLACK TOO WHEN I WAS INTO HALLOWEEN & NOW I'M NOT, due to children being "harmed". TO PEEL THE EGGS.... I DO THE ENDS, both, LIKE YOU DiD> THEN GENTLY ROLL THE EGGS. I USE A SPOON TO GET UNDER THE SHELL & LIFT IT OFF. : } <>< LOVE & LiGHT & A BiG HUG. <>< : } BTW : ONE of MY FAVE FOODS !! LOL
It's nearly impossible to easily peel a fresh boiled egg!! So why try? Get out eggs that have been in the frig a couple weeks. They are ten times easier to peel.
Horseradish and no pickles
We always mash up one egg white. It makes the filling extra fluffy.
I top mine with jalapeños or olives or pickles or capers and paprika.
I have a sister who would LOVE your version. ❤ A couple of days before she gave birth to my beautiful niece, she had a fully loaded hotdog, complete with a mound of jalapeños on top! 😊😅
I use my pastry cutter to chop the eggs.
Great idea. thank you
My secret ingredient is horseradish, along with pickle relish, dried onions and Dijon.
Never tried this, horseradish sounds great! !
Mine are better
I put baking soda in with Boling eggs
What does that do
It makes them easier to peel! But with real fresh eggs like yours it might not help much.
Pp juice from sweet p or dill
Sweet
I remember my Mom making deviled eggs back in the early 60's. She used pickle juice, but she used Sweet Gherkins. I have made them with the sweet pickle juice ever since I learned that trick. Love the slight sweetness the Sweet Gherkins juice bring to the deviled eggs!
I start with cold water add eggs, bring to a boil for 3 minutes, take off the heat, and cover with a lid for 15 minutes. Then drain the pan, it will still be Hot. Put eggs into ice water and let cool. Peel under running cold water, should peel easy. Then make your Deviled eggs, Enjoy !
It's ok if shells break in the ice bath...you've gotta peel them anyway.
