My only feedback is that the minesweeper "field" looks a bit out of place for some reason, with the atmosphere of the game in mind, the perfectly shaped squares and the numbers is hard to see the field aspect of it. Apart from that, it looks lovely, keep up the good work!
@@martinsanchez2395 Agreed! Don’t worry, part of the future visual flair updating we already have planned is to round the edges and add a little bit of a roughness to the connecting lines between each square so they flow more naturally. Thanks for the feedback!

@@ModernGameArmy that is something we’re playing with, our main consideration there is whether it might make it too hard to parse if someone has worse eyesight perhaps. But we definitely plan to at least toy with it a bit!

Came over from Bluesky to check out your video. But wow, you guys did pretty good with the 2 day deadline. Also the part about coming back to the game to keep fixing it, despite the jam being over for a bit is pretty relatable lol. Happened to the dev I was working with for our game for the weirdcore/liminal space jam. Dude kept on working on the game for a good month, trying to make sure there wasn’t any bugs haha.
Thanks so much! And yes, the curse of game jams is they /usually/ never go as planned lol. The liminal jam sounds exactly up my alley also, we legitimately have a devlog for a previous liminal PSX horror gamejam we made based on Petscop and ENA, not dissimilar to yours!

This particular project was just a 48 hour game jam, something we did for fun, it wasn’t really intended to become a full thing (at least not for a while). If you want something that’s taking a while and IS in development, then look no further than our main devlog series haha.

I would love to share my idea Chapter name: The House Never Loses Killer: The Gambler Raymond "Lucky Ray" Petri was always a lucky man. Every event seemed to fall in his favor. He was a ladykiller and always scored dates, in his high school's hockey team he always managed to never miss a goal. But his favorite activity that took advantage of his luck was gambling at his local casino. Blackjack, poker, roulette, slots, he loved them all. And he always managed to win. With his winnings, he bought a nice home, luxury cars, and needless furniture and objects adding up to the hundreds of thousands. Even the house tried to catch him on cameras, suspecting him of cheating. But nope. He was all fair, and just incredibly lucky. One night, Ray was playing roulette and on another winning streak. "Nothing can stop me now!" he exclaimed, guessing every color correct. After another successful night, he went to cash in his winnings. But as he put in his chips, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked to his side and saw a slender, pale woman with jet black hair, a black dress with sparkly dots and sunglasses so dark her eyes couldn't be seen. He found her to be extraordinarily beautiful. "You're quite the lucky man...care to play one with me?". Ray, taken aback, accepted and had the desk hold his winnings. He followed the woman for a while, all the way to the other end of the casino. "Where are we going?" he asked. She then pointed him to a machine he had never seen. "This one, sweetie". It looked like an ordinary roulette table, except something was....off. The ball was bright yellow and seemed to glow. It had a strange aura to it. "The rules of this table are simple. Guess what color the ball will land on....but if it lands on the one you guess...you lose". Ray was confused at a weird rule, but he didn't think much of it. "Whats the minimum bet?" asked Ray. The woman, adjusting her glasses, said "Don't worry, it doesn't take money". Ray was EXTREMELY confused now. "Then what am I betting?" he asked. "You'll know when you play" she said, smirking at Ray. Ray was suspicious, he could leave right now and collect his winnings. But the beauty of the woman and the mystery of the new game has his full attention. "So what's your answer?", the woman saying in a seductive voice. "I'll bet Red". The ball rolled automatically as he said the color. The ball spun and spun. The ball didn't seem to slow down. Ray was bending down, not blinking, watching the ball. The woman stood there, due to her glasses it was impossible to tell if she was looking at the table or Ray. Eventually the ball stopped....and landed on red. "I'm sorry hun, better luck next time". Ray, disappointed but confident, said "Again". The woman laughed. "Are you sure?" she asked. "Yes". For hours, Ray watched as the ball kept landing on the losing colors. He ordered whiskey throughout, downing each glass faster than it arrived". He could not beat this game no matter how much he tried. "I give up". The woman chuckled, "It seems today just isn't your day". All of a sudden, a man approached ray and asked to talk to him. "Sir, I'm sorry to inform you, but your winnings were lost in the front. We tried to check the cameras but our feed has been down for hours it seems. I'm sorry sir but we are unable to process your winnings". Ray, furious, shouted "HOW. HOW DID YOU LOSE MY MONEY. HOW ARE THE CAMERAS DOWN???" Ray heard laughing and turned around. The woman was chuckling. He grabbed her hand. "YOU. YOU HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS DIDNT YOU". The woman smiled, unfazed by his outburst. "No. You gambled. You lost. It was all you. After all, your *LUCK* ran out". Ray figured it out. That game...that game...it took all of his luck. "GIVE ME BACK MY LUCK, WOMAN". He shook her by her hand and her glasses slipped off, revealing she had piercing yellow eyes. Ray screamed, and rubbed his eyes in horror. He then sees her eyes are now a normal brown. Maybe he had too much to drink. She smiled again and put her glasses back on. "Sorry, all bets are final". She pulled away and offered him to play again for a chance to get his luck back, but he stormed off out of the casino, enraged. As he walked to his car, he tripped over a crack on the pavement and broke his wrist. Writhing in pain, he tried to get up. But as he stood, he saw two headlights coming as fast as a bullet. He was struck by a car and sent a good 45m. Barely alive, he tried to call for help. As he shut his eyes, his life slipping away, he opened his eyes and was in a strange place, yet familiar. He was back in the casino, yet...generators and hooks were everywhere...all machines were running on their own. He heard a voice in his head...unknown but...familiar. It told him to play a game. Ray accepted without hesitation, succumbing to his gambling addiction once more. He pulled a deck of seemingly never-ending cards out of his suit jacket, and ran off to play... Killer Power: Cards of Humanity The Gambler's luck in the entities realm has increased, and been gifted with a limitless deck of poker cards that alter his attributes. Press the ability button to draw one of 6 cards. Diamonds will increase his walking speed by 30%. Hearts will decrease his pallet stun duration by 40%. Clubs will decrease his attack cooldown by 30%. Jack will increase his pallet break by 30%. King will put all survivors in the "exposed" status effect for 40 seconds. Queen will reveal all survivor auras for 5 seconds. After the card's effect has worn off, the gambler will shuffle his deck, waiting to draw his next card Secondary ability: Make it Rain Over time, The Gambler's addiction will take hold. When the ability meter is full, press the special ability button to send the gambler into an adrenaline rush from the excitement of the trial. For 30 seconds, the Gambler will laugh like a maniac and toss poker chips from his jacket. They will spill on the ground and remain there. Healthy survivors that step on these chips while running will slip and fall, putting them in an injured state and triggering a loud noise notification. Already injured survivors that slip will not be put into the dying state Perks: Always Bet on Black Your love for gambling has been noticed by the Entity. With this perk, it will disable one random perk from one random survivor in the trial. Hex: Lucky Duck Survivors should stop hogging all the fun! A hex totem will appear in the trial. Until cleansed, survivor skill checks now regress progression instead of progressing Royal Flush: The survivors have the upper hand, but you still have one trick left. When all generators are powered, any survivor that touches the exit gate switch suffers from the exposed status effect. This effect will linger for 5/10/15 seconds upon the survivor releasing the switch Appearance: The Gambler is an Italian man of average height. He'll look like a normal person in a black and white suit with a bowtie, slicked back hair with a few loose strands hanging down, and white gloves to help with his card tricks. His most unusual feature though, are his eyes and mouth. His pupils are beady, and his face has a permanent, crazed, teeth exposing smile due to the entity manipulating his addiction to have completely consumed him Weapon: Brass knuckle Animations Walk: He will be hunched over, holding his card deck in his right hand, and his other hand up balled into a fist, holding his brass knuckles (this makes him the only left handed killer in the game) Attack: He will punch with his brass knuckle with a huge haymaker Weapon cooldown: He will shake his hand to relieve his fingers and scoff in annoyance, as punching causes the brass knuckles to hurt his hand Pallet break: Generic kick Generator break: Kick Door break: Punches it down Locker check: Swing the door in excitement Found survivor in locker: He will laugh and give a shush noise, and pick the survivor up Picking up survivor: hoist over shoulder Wiggle stun: He'll drop his cards and pick them back up Pallet stun: He'll drop his cards and yell in annoyance Drawing cards: He'll slide one out from his deck with his left hand and turn it with his two fingers, looking at the symbol to tell you your card Chip throw: He'll spread his arms and throw chips in a make it rain pose as he runs, laughing uncontrollably Mori: He'll let the survivor get up, then smile and show his deck to a survivor and say "Pick a Card!!!" a survivor will pick one, turn it over and sees it has the mori symbol on it. He'll slit the survivor's throat with another card and they'll grab their neck and bleed out. He'll then take the survivor's card and add it back to his deck and say "Thank you for playing!" Type of killer: The Gambler is a killer based around chance, so he is a risky and hard killer to master as his power revolves around luck and chance (his add ons will help increase the odds of cards you want). Smart players can use each card they get to their advantage, while impatient or impulsive killers will struggle making use of the random buffs they don't like Strengths: Each buff helps in every way. Survivors will have to guess most cards drawn. Make It Rain is a great way to place traps for survivors. Looping will be difficult due to his Make It Rain ability Weaknesses: His killer power revolves around chance, therefore being unreliable for planning. He is loud due to his laugh, and survivors who listen will know when he's coming. His short range attacks and lack of range make him a basic m1 killer without using his power or ability If you have any questions or any comments please let me know!
This concept is fantastic! It’s like what Ace Visconti could have been if he went to the dark side lol. I love ALL his perks and his style. His mori is fantastic. The only bits I’d slightly rework are the amount of buff from each card, some could be a little better some could be way more nerfed, notably his 30% speed boost would probably wreck shop haha. I think his secondary ability might also not /need/ to do damage. Just fooling survivors to slip during a chase and maybe giving a sound notification if you aren’t around would be good. Overall though I’d definitely take a character like him over at least a quarter of the real chapters haha!

Shuffling cards will switch out the next card The Gambler would draw with another random card. The Gambler can shuffle for as long as he wants Perks can stack with card buffs. So this gives a ton of options for insane perk builds Example: Brutal Strength paired with the pallet break card will stack, giving The Gambler an insane pallet break time saver Thank you for your comment and feedback!

Increases his chances of drawing a queen by 5% Ray's Keys: Keys to one of the many luxury cars Ray owns, so many that he forgot which one these belong to. Increases the duration of Make it Rain by 1.5 seconds The Dealer's Marble: The very blackjack marble that had a hand in taking Ray's luck. Replaces dropped cards during a pallet or wiggle stun with poker chips that can make survivors slip Ray's Moneyclip: A Moneyclip that ray never left home without. Increases the chance of drawing a club by 10% Bloody Poker Chip: A blood soaked chip that Ray forgot to cash in during the infamous night. Survivors that slip on poker chips are affected with the Broken status effect for 30 seconds Dealer's Glasses: A pair of sunglasses worn by the beautiful blackjack dealer. Her eyes...could she have been the...no no...that's outrageous...or is it? Survivor Auras are revealed for 3 seconds after slipping on poker chips

I really like this idea, I was actually hoping for a Lovecraft collab of some sort from BHVR!! But I have a few nitpicks about the perks... Blind Leading the Blind seems to be a weaker version of Deathbound, which is active at all times and marks the healer with Obliviousness for a longer period of time *after* they're done with the healing action, which will make the Oblivious survivor much more likely to either hide in fear and waste time or run into you more often. The way I would rework it is by making it so that once you hit a survivor, they are permenantly marked with the Perk's effect and their Obliviousness goes away after being healed -- and even then, it will linger for x/y/z seconds after being healed. Maybe add a catalyst, saying only one survivor may be affected by this perk so that it doesn't become a better Deathbound or something to that effect. Hex: Bigger Fish would be an excellent perk to encourage snowballing and I feel like it would be an awesome perk for Huntress and Nemesis. I would buff its numbers a bit, and maybe remove the downside of giving Survivors an increased healing speed. It's a Hex Perk, it can be cleansed at any point, that's already a downside! Otherwise though this is a pretty decent perk. Hex: End of Times is a... scary one lol. I was hesitant about liking this one at first but it seems so cool in my head. Imagine finishing the last gen and hearing the endgame's bell sound immediately. It's pretty spooky and strong, I would have to see how this one works in game because I can't really tell if it's oppressive or not. Still though, very cool idea. Fight or Flight is interesting but I feel like a survivor would get better use out of just 99ing their Sprint Burst. I don't feel like the added two seconds would justify the decreased speed boost you'd usually get from other exhaustion perks. I'd like to see the "fight" portion of Fight or Flight come into play here... I'd rework it by making it so, everytime the survivor escapes a chase, they gain a Token, up to a maximum of 3 Tokens. If they stun the Killer with a pallet, they gain a +10% speed boost for 5/6/7 seconds and they'll consume all of their Tokens. Each Token consumed will stun the Killer for an extra second longer. Fueled By Fear is pretty decent actually. It's another one I'd have to see in game because I'm kinda scared it'll make rushing gens in Killers' faces more frequent and easier... but I really like genrush perks as a survivor so I can't complain 🧍🏻 Happy Place would be a pretty good perk for Blendies, but I do wish it maybe rewarded you for making good stealth plays like Stake Out does. I'd probably make it so it's kind of like a... temporary, stronger but riskier version of Fueled by Fear. Make it so that if you successfully sit within a Killer's terror radius for a while and they leave you gain a small boost in repair speed for a while but if you get into a chase you gain a penalty in repair speed for a while. I also remember reading on the DBD forums from a dev that they didn't wanna give survivors "supernatural abilities" like going invisible, so maybe the darkening part wouldn't be BHVR-dev friendly. All in all though I like this concept :) The Fisherman's design is sick and I'm a fan of stealth killers and chase killers so I feel like I'd have a blast with his power. The art for the perks are awesome too! Good job yall 💗
Super thorough! I agree with pretty much everything you suggested here. My thoughts on each suggestion: - Blind leading the blind: great point, didn’t remember that perk actually. Would deffo wanna rework slightly. - Bigger fish, see the reason we kept the numbers low is because it would be amazing for slugging and ALSO act as like an infectious fright that receals anyone when a survivor is downed near them. We definitely more so wanted it to treat the downed survivor as bait, thus the theming, but making the radius too big is certainly dangerous for fun, as you’d probably only see the hex when someone steps into the radius of a downed survivor. I also think keeping the radius small and adding the heal speed /could/ be enough to make it bot need to be a hex? - End of times: suuuuper busted in retrospect, would at t he very least need a time increase. If you ran Trapper with resetting traps (on the gate) plus Remember Me and No Way Out, then protected the totem from a vantage, could probably confirm yourself an unearned win like 90% of the time. Would need a serious rework or at least some sort of added trait like “The gates cannot be blocked” or something. - Fight or Flight: I dig your suggestion, kind of a blend of Smash hit and Sprint Burst. I mainly wanted to diversify the exhaustion perks, I think they should all be a little different in terms of speed and time generally, and a perk that you KNOW you won’t misuse would be safe for learners, especially as 99ing SB is more like an unintentional design flaw, not that I think it should be fixed (but giving exhaustion perks a tiny regen even while running would solve that) - Fuelled by Fear I think is just right, given that it’s great when another person runs them around you (in which the killer can hear your gen and should re-think the situation) or if the killer is running at the gen, which is only useful if you’re committing at the last 5% or something. I’m super happy with that one as you’ll likely accept some danger in exchange no matter what. - Happy Place: The MAIN point of this one is an anti-BBQ, based on aura hiding, but the point about the other half is very valid, we were hesitant with the darkening, but I thought it needed a small extra something as not being allowed to move could just as easily screw you as save you, plus making a perk that just isn’t any good for those people that wear neon green and pink seemed sad. So darkening them in some sort of entity shroud could work. I thought about its supernaturalness, but since Cheryl can summon the entity to protect gens (and therefore everyone can), I think entity aura covering people could probably slide. You have done a good job on this boys. I'm not a fan of the killers appearance (reminds me of a boomer from L4D) but lore, perks and survivor and map are really good. Very talented. Keep it up

Oh neat, it’s a sign from the heavens lol, hope you like fish. We have a couple of these ideas for other episodes of this should people like the idea, like fake Pokemon, Minecraft Mobs and also maybe Pilgrim as a Smash Bros fighter haha. It’s super fun to brainstorm like this, I’d highly suggest it if you’re interested in similar stuff!
