Super ❤
This photo remindes me of another one -St. Marks plce, lower Manhatten.see me an a great buddy were walking dn town -hazzzy dsy it was hazzzy cause it was still burning -came to visit/pay respects/ time /my monies/=See Robert started singing to me at this crosswalk -"im waiting on my man etc?' so my point is -love you NYC lest not forget 9/11 to quote a great friend -'There are certain parts of NY that i would advise you not to invade"
He really did his own thing and followed his own path wherever it led.
"Time fades away" live followup to Harvest -73 -tanked oops-see JB tried this with "Running on Enpty" Christmas 77 -ie New songs /unreleased -captured live -and itWORKED for him -but i love this Neil record thanks
When Neil uses a place name as a title, I approach with caution. He is a knife-wielder of stature. But we wouldn't have "Sweet Home Alabama" without Young's travelogues.
L.A. and Vegas ...keep em.
❤🎶😊😊 Moon and Star Mr Stai
This is Neil as Story Teller, Harmonica & Guitar Player doing his Acoustic Journey Autobiographically presented. I'm sure he would agree that despite but also because All that occurs, to Know is better than not.
Thank you so much for this!
This is one of Neil's prayerful songs, addressed to that God within us who spurs us on. But come to think of it, many of his songs bring light to that dark place and having the strength to move on. Thank you Neil, it's good to hear your music have wider hearing than where I usually hear this one - a bootleg from BITD, "Rock'N'Roll Cowboy". Check out, "Evening Coconut" as well.
This is my favorite performance of "Interstate". It was this song as well as others like, "Emperor of Wyoming", "Loner", and "Albuquerque", "String Quartet for Whisky Boot Hill", "On the Beach", and other songs of his that I listened to as an old kid in the late '60's and made me turn my eyes West, and that's the way it happened. It's helpful to refer to Neil Young's music through time, to help tie things together through certain diverse images that revisit the world periodically. Like iterations in the occurrence of certain problems; for example, the problem of the Many and the One. Like rest stops on the Interstate.
You can feel in this one the infinite happyness and sadness in the same time by the tones of his guitar that song is a NY Masterpiece. Genius.😘
👍
This is haunting, almost hard to listen to with the depth of emotion that it stirs.
neil is one in a million, he really doesnt give a shit what anyone else thinks, he just does his thing and I just love him, love him, love him!!!!
This version is the best by far
I’m still crying 😢
Thank you for sharing these gems 👌
This could be what drove musician Jim Sullivan into the desert never to be heard of again , its that ethereal .
Vicereale , unfiltered acoustic alchemy , to be taken aurally twice daily as prescribed by Dr Young.
Alone at the microphone aching acoustic alchemy envelops the discerning ear ,fragility that is both timeless relevant and utterly beguiling, few but the genius of NY could capture the rapture of such minimalist magic.
Even if Neil Youngs music is not your thing you have got to admire and respect the man. He could have made a comfortable living churning out radio freindly songs like heart of gold but he said the middle of the road is boring i,d rarther walk along the gutter the people are more interesting
Haunting and full of nostalgia and yet bringing people together who are willing to be vulnerable in a comment section. How can we be so lonely disconnected if we are all connected here? If this all provokes the same emotions in us surely we are not that isolated or different. I’m open to knowing other Neil fans!
We are all connected, with and without Neil.......but he sure does help!
listen to 'will to love', and 'little wing' by neil :) what are your favorite tracks?
What i love about Neil is even when he,s singing ballards and love songs there is always a biting edge to th
Wow. Fantastic!! Thank you!
As someone who lived in the L.A. area for 25 years ... I simply adore how utterly vicious Neil's lyrics are in this song 🤗
Why have I never heard this tune before? Amazing.
Classic Neil
BEAUTIFUL version solo but the missing pedal steel of Ben Keith makes the alone quality stand out.
Tha song is haunting. Unique . Perfect for Neil . I love it . I can't remember when Neil has made a bad tune. We love you Mr Neil. You are a beautiful man. ❤❤❤
TRANS , his only real dud !
Gives. Me chills
Such a brilliant song from the first time I heard it back in the eighties on the album Time Fades Away
Haunting but yet magical . You are a legend . Pure and simple. We love you Mr Neil. ❤❤❤
So now what
Love this song. Borrowed from The Rolling Stones "Sweet lady Jane"
Magnificent version of this epic song. There will never be another Neil Young . He is the best of the best . Amazing talent. Must listen to . We love you Mr Neil ❤❤❤❤
Takes me way back to Neil in the early1970's. Thanks so much 1after909
Can safely say Bon Iver was listening to this when he composed For Emma
This is one of his best . Love it .

One of my favorites. This version is even more haunting and sad. Captures the essence of LA.
Far out. Thanks 👍😊❤
Thanks for sharing. By the way, Neil announced a tour two days ago. Im in SC,on probation, but I'm going to California ❤🎉🌈🎈
Incrivel, inacreditável
Hope he and Willy last forever....world would be diminished without them.
I remember when Neil released his first solo album, nothing compared then and nothing compares now.
nice😇
❤❤❤❤❤Rock 🪨 😮 on😮
With the song stripped down like this you can better hear the influence the beatles had on pink floyd. That connection never clicked for me before
This song is very mystical . Neil is mysterious . Makes you want to probe into his genius mind . His visions move your being within . I love this ❤️ song . We love you ❤️ Neil ❤️
I felt that way too. It's been 40 years, it's all good. So blessed to have seen him on the blue notes tour. ❤😊
@@danielosullivan3110 yes. He sure keeps packing them in . So many people love him
