Libera Me: Theme from Carlito's Way (Patrick Doyle, arr: Mikael Carlsson)
Soundtracks Live premiered Mikael Carlsson's choral arrangement of Patrick Doyle's orchestral theme from the 1993 Brian de Palma movie "Carlito's Way", set to the latin "Libera Me" text, on Tuesday, May 14, at the 12th Film Music Festival in Kraków, Poland.
The piece was featured in the "Cinema Chorale" concert which was prepared by the festival in collaboration with Soundtracks Live. The Pro Musica Mundi Choir conducted by Wiesław Delimat performed an emotionally charged program featuring music by special guest Don Davis as well as composers Bruno Coulais, Michael Kamen, Ennio Morricone, Wojciech Kilar and many others.

On December 25, 1965, Swedish politician Olof Palme (who became prime minister four years later) gave a national radio speech on the subject of immigration. 50 years later we all need to hear it.
