I’m glad I ran into this pod cast because I think this fraud “possibly” happening to me right now, I feel an orthopedic clinic I’ve gone to keeps leading me on with frivolous “tests” even though they have a suspected diagnosis of cubital tunnel syndrome, instead of just getting an MRI on my elbow, knowing it’s the cause, the doctor orders an MRI on my neck despite openly saying he does not believe the nerve problem is cervical, also, recommending steroid injections for my hands even though there is no evidence I have carpal tunnel. I’m retired military and I noticed this, because the military has guaranteed health insurance, a lot of these two bid clinics & hospitals like to try and string out appointments, to take advantage of the tricare payouts. What these people don’t know is that I’m an ICU nurse, & I personally document my appointments, what was discussed, opinions & diagnosis, I never tell any healthcare provider I see, what my profession is if they are outside my own hospital network because their demeanor changes, knowing that what they say & their professional manner will be scrutinized, so I keep quiet and just listen & take mental notes, but If I receive one more appointment I feel is dubious, I will take action against them with the documentation I have & evidence of frequent appointments that yield no solutions/corrective measures.

It's part of a conspiracy truth. It's a scam. Go back to your great grandparents diet, avoid pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides.

Ex pharmacy tech at Walgreens here... I NEVER saw my pharmacists take a lunch...never saw them go home on time...never saw them treated as the DOCTORS that they are. They are DOCTORS OF MEDICATION and I have watched them save more lives than I care to admit because of prescribed ignorance. They are the last defense against a fatal medical error made by uneducated GPs and other medical providers who prescribe drugs they know minimal about when it's the wrong choice for the patient. They also need to stop hiring technicians who only come in with a highschool diploma and ZERO credentials to work a healthcare position. Pharmacy is primary care and needs to be taken seriously.

That's how all business see their employees en masse. As a resource. It's not a bad thing. Doesn't mean you can't take care of them though.

Screw PBM's, go cash only, generic only and give service well beyond that of your competitors. You may not get rich but will be much more professionally fulfilled and have lot less headaches and ulcers I'm thinking. Something tells me you will eventually, figure out how to market your superior service. Am I a dreamer and totally naive ( or ignorant) about the whole process? By the way, I'm a retired LTC Consultant Pharmacist who is debating whether to open up a small retail practice in the future. Am I destined to fail with such a strategy of cash and carry, generic only operation? It just seems PBM's must be brought to their knees somehow and held accountable. Otherwise, we've lost control of our retail oriented profession.
