Which school is this? Looks excellent!
This Kata (developed around 1888) is in the curriculum of Kodokan-Judo. The video has been captured by the Kodokan itself.
Oss thanks for this video

Omg - stop talking…
🖒🖒🖒🖒
In my dojo, I (a white belt) was specifically told to use the arm and NOT to use the shoulder when throwing -- opposite of what this video teaches. Is it to keep uke safe?
as far as i know if you use the top of the shoulder to make the leverage you may apply an armlock that can damage ukes arm. look at seoi nage by steve cunningham or seoi nage in DVD series "Human Weapon" documentary, pankration episode. i think that in seoi nage you apply leverage with the arm, that is, ukes arm acts as a lever that makes it fly when you apply the see saw mechanic. i dont know if is right, i am just a white belt.
In competitive *seoi nage*, you should never position yourself below your opponent’s shoulder, as this significantly increases the risk of being countered with a choke. In the kata version, however, there is a strong emphasis on the unbalancing movement. For this reason, *tori* is specifically required to place their shoulder under *uke*’s shoulder and use both arms to execute a precise and forward-directed projection.
beautiful!!
Are they dancing or what ?
beautiful,
🇮🇹👍🏼

Obrigado Sensei! Parabéns!
Thank you very much ! Domo Arigato.
A beautiful kata created over a century ago which is still applicable today. Well executed by two exceptional Judokas. A pleasure to view.
Sosuishi Ryu, founded in the 17th century, was one of the Ryu-ha that Kano took techniques from. Kime no Kata is a sample of the waza list of the school and thus Goshinjutsu is as well, as Kime is the basic frame work used for the creation of Goshinjutsu.
This technique is only applicable to an unprepared opponent who has no experience in martial arts. For example, these techniques won't work against a boxer. In addition, strong clothing with a reinforced collar is needed to carry out strangulation.
In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, this is known as "Americana" because it's "so easy, even the Americans can learn it."
👍💐
What does this arm lock translate to?
Thanks Nice video
