But even 75 HE can overpressure, the IS has 90mm of side armor which can be hard to penetrate for a 75mm M3 if angled, so a spot is a spot

yes, but usually overpressuring the engine doesnt kill the crew.

When will people learn how penetrations work in this game? The penetration report only displays fragments that deal damage to a vehicle, so in this case it shows the first fragment that hit you. This fragment perforated the armour and allowed the shockwave in, effectively making your vehicle suffer overpressure like an open top, and the shell overpressures almost the entire crew. It's not strange, it's not bugged, and it's not even remotely surprising if you take the time to understand how penetration and overpressure calculations work
Nope. If a bomb drops, it displays ALL fragments. And in this case it would mean that ONLY this fragment dealt damage.
The fragments wouldn't do that in real life

I had an Ostwind penetrate the top of the turret of my Super Pershing. It bounced off, hit the vertical traverse assist spring thingies, and top attacked me.
