Bill Jartz - Voice of Lambeau, News Career, and Giving It a "Jartzy" | Rooted Wisconsin | Ep.#30
A fixture in northeast Wisconsin news and sports television, Bill Jartz has spent nearly 45 years delivering stories to the people of Wisconsin. Born and raised in Clintonville, the self-described "hay shaker" was an all state football player who went on to play at Northwestern while pursuing a degree in journalism. In this episode, Bill and Brad chat about the early years, his time in front of the camera, being the gameday voice of Lambeau field as the PA announcer for the Green Bay Packers, life outside of the lights, and much more. A conversation with "Jartzy" unveils a humble, authentic, and genuine person, proud to serve the folks of Wisconsin, indicative of the countless stories you hear of him emceeing charity auctions and donating his time and talent to those in need.

Loved his father Mel plus Buddy Hacket😅😂
What a cool life Sarah has! Can’t wait to read her book.
Thanks for watching, Katie! Appreciate you!
Rodgers is my favorite player ever, no idea why some fans have turned on him. I too have a rodgers jets jersey. It's refreshing to hear packers fans still praising Rodgers.
And there is your dagger! Awesome stuff from the legend
Thanks for checking it out, Steve! Wayne's the man.
That was so cool. Wayne is definitely one of the best!
Thanks Joe! He definitely is! It was fun to chat with him. Glad you enjoyed too!
Great show‼‼🦆🦆🐟🐟🎣🎣
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the shout out Coot and thank you for the continued support!! Great interview Rooted!
Really went above and beyond with your sit there didn't you?
This is a great story, I got a little emotional at some points but I think that’s what made it so great. I remember buying a Ukraine candle when they came out and thinking this company was amazing then, after hearing the full story I love them even more!!!
YES!! Christiana is fantastic and their mission is admirable.
Love Alexis! Great topic❤
Thanks for listening! :)
THANK YOU FOR SERVING OUR COUNTRY!!!!🇺🇸🦅🤘😁
I watched your video and it was really good perfect military person waited for questions not really sure he was comfortable
Thanks for checking it out, Eli!
I'm kind of a mess. I used to excel at public speaking, now I get too nervous.
And I don't like how chewed up my neck looks. LOL!
Ned the dead should create a cartoon and a comic book
He is a man of many talents! You never know...
People gotta poach because the fed wants you to pay for God given rights
I need Steve/Ned to know that Ned the Dead has been such a source of absurdist joy throughout my life. Started watching Chiller Theatre when I was a kid because my dad used to watch it and there were rare occasions when I was allowed to stay up late and catch at least a little bit of old Ned the Dead. My dad was away at work a lot when I was young so these rare opportunities to share some truly original local weirdness meant so much to me. I continued tuning in sporadically through high school and on into adulthood. Whether initial broadcast, syndication or now online, it always brings back fond memories of growing up in GB. Love ya, need ya, thank ya!
That is a wonderful compliment. I am so glad that I was in a position to do that. THAT is exactly why I loved doing it.

Love this!! Some day, I might just have 8,000 volunteer hours, but it will take a while. I took the Wisconsin Master Naturalist training 2 years ago, love it, and love sharing it!! Thank you for all you do!!
Thanks for the note, Sueandsherm! That is wonderful! What a fantastic program to be a part of.
What do you think of the new studio!?
Welp, I must have published instead of scheduled this when I uploaded. Enjoy the early release! :)
Love catching up with Bob ❤️❤️
Great as always!
Thanks, Matt! Appreciate you!
Loved chatting with you, Brad! Thanks a ton.
The pleasure was mine, my friend. Appreciate you!
