I have exactly this model and after 40-50 minutes of work it gets very warm up-right. Is this normal? How about yours?
I have had several 2285B, silver and black. None of them get hot after using it for a while. You must take the receiver to a technician.

Me están ofreciendo un Esotec PM-5 y un Esotec SC-6; pero no tengo claro cuál es realmente la diferencia entre ambos, ni tampoco sé cuál es un precio justo estos equipos. Actualmente tengo un Marantz 2235b. No encuentro información en internet que me permita comparar los equipos, saber si realmente es diferente el Esotec del 2235b, por lo que pensé consultarte a ti que conoces bien los equipos. Cuál es tu opinión? Saludos!
Hola, tengo la colección completa de todos los Esotec. En mi sitio www.audiovintage.cl puedes ver un apartado dedicado sólo a los Esotec. Esotec es la línea de lujo de Marantz, es como la Lexus de Toyota, son las líneas de elite que sacan algunas marcas. El PM5 es un amplificador integrado, trae pre y power integrado. Y el SC6 es un pre, necesitarás el power SM6 para escucharlo. Ambos equipos están muy distantes en calidad del receiver 2235 que tienes, este receiver saca los sonidos envueltos, todos juntos al aire, los esotec son de alta fidelidad, separan los instrumentos en el aire, no se escuchan juntos como en el receiver. Te recomiendo la pareja SC6 y SM6, pero igual el PM5 es bueno, tiene un loudness que rinde mucho. Saludos.

Really nice collection Christian. Thanks for showing us. Lately I have become a fan of the Esotec line. Already have the 3250B, (2) 300DCs, and 2130 and they are all great but I hope to acquire an SC6 and SM6 someday. One of my best friends has the JBL L300s and they are fantastic but alas I have a smaller space so I use JBL L100s but they serve the purpose very well. Cheers!

Both speakers are very good. For rock and pop, the L300 are spectacular. For vocals and instruments, the Ardens are second to none. Both are from similar times, the arden have been made two versions later.

Your speakers wouldn't last long enough to bother the neighbors. Neither would your windows. LOL I had the SX-3900 receiver, same specs. It would create earthquakes. Just like my Kenwood Super Eleven, that I still have.
I bought one of these recievers brand new in 1982. It still works perfectly and is all original. It has been a huge part of my life and still is. I bought my Realistic sound system one component at a time. My mach one speaker surrounds are rotten and need reconed. STA-2300 receiver. 4 Mach one speakers. Lab 440 turntable. SC 32 metal tape deck. Realistic 10 band EQ. TR-883 8 track recorder deck. Teac reel to reel.
I bought one on Ebay after watching this video.

@@christiansoto9193 i have sc7 and sm7 Sc7 need resoldering i think during play back one channel off when put pressur on face plate of marantz then its start agian the channel i thing its need resoldering
