Had a very pleasant day yesterday (Sunday)at the East Anglia Transport Museum which is at Carlton Colville near Lowestoft well worth a visit if you are in the area, as usual I took my video camera and here is a short video of what you can expect to see

I have updated some of the videos of Marsh Lane a small TMD layout originally built by Kelvin Barnes in memory of Keith Wight a mutual friend who sadly is no longer with us. I have added some ambient sound effects. this is the first time I have tried this and I hope you enjoy

A video of the Colne Valley Railway on the Essex/Suffolk border, it was shot in October 2019 and comprises various views of a Class 121 DMU in action, the staff and volunteers were very friendly and helpful and allowed me to film from the signal box steps and from the cab of the DMU. Taking advantage of good weather while it lasts decided to try out my videography skills on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite railway any comments welcome. For those interested the gear I used is: Canon EOS700D Camera Tokina 12-24mm Lens Boya BYMM1 MIcrophone I used Olive to edit the footage which s a free editor for PC Mac and Linux very impressed with it so far.

Great looking layout, however I turned the sound off. I don't think i could run it or watch it for more than five minutes.
Hi Nick, regarding your video settings, go for a frame rate of 25 frames per second. Then set the shutter speed at twice the frame rate, ie 1/50th sec. That should produce better and smoother results. Regards Charlie
Hi Charlie thanks for the tip regarding shutter speed, I should have known this as my son is studying film production at uni! The camera I was using for this was a Canon Powershot G9 takes fantastic stills but the video quality is not great.

Saw this at Doncaster BRM Exhibition 7th Feb 2015. Fantastic! I have a similar layout which is being rewired and re-tracked, virtually remade up to exhibition standard. Seeing Borders Reach has given me some updated ideas. Great Modelling. Best Wishes, Robert
