I don't think anyone will beleive me. Greer Garson is my 6th cousin removed! I never had the chance to meet her and she died long before I was born, but I've grown to be a huge fan of her. I love my 6th cousin removed all the world, and I'm so proud of her. Do you think loving someone you never met is crazy? She was the queen of acting, and to me she's a queen who doesn't need a crown. I'm so lucky and grateful to be related to her!
Gorgeous! I first watched her on 'Julia Misbehaves' just last May and I became obsessed! She's very charming, regal and classy! I actually made her a tribute myself
Loved this video. Greer and Ronald Colman were magical. So glad to see such wonderful but forgotten clips. I thought the music was very well chosen. The contrast in older movies and newer music has a lovely and timeless feeling. Thank you for the video
Oh my gosh! I’ve been a Greer fan since I was about 12 years old but I haven’t watched one of her films in a while. Your video is perfect!!!! I’ve watched it 3 times today and now I’m going to have to binge watch my favorite Garson films! Thank you so much :) Nikki
Nice video - thanks for posting! I just became a fan of hers myself thanks to TCM:) The clips here are lovely and from some of the best movies. Another film that is great and underrated, I think, is "Valley of Decision". Terrific cast and one of my new favorites!
As a Teal sister who is actively fighting this disease this video energized and touched me greatly this morning. Thank you for doing this. I have placed a link to your video from my website today. Hoping it may just do the same for another Teal Sister. I wasn't able to find another way to contact you to get your permission. www.reflectionsofmyworld.com/blog--sharing-high--low-lights-of-ovarian-cancer/category/honorary-doctorates-of-ovarian-cancer
Lovely job with the clips..but I have to agree with the prior two comments..I think your choice of music detracts from the overall effort. Perhaps you are quite young and thus might bring her appeal to a younger audience...the lyrics are actually fine...but the music itself us a distraction..and I think you don't want that. You want viewers to concentrate in the overall effect. Please consider re posting this with the same footage but a different soundtrack. I'd welcome that.
Completely disagree. The music is a tool to bring GG to a wider range of individuals. No song ever makes everyone happy. Perhaps just appreciate the time and effort and beautiful editing instead of negative comments?
And there are more positive comments regarding the music than negative..that’s very telling. Either way, massive effort to design this and I will always praise the creative people who share positive videos like this. No need to be negative.
In Dec 1962 l met Greer garson, by chance, at the chicago art institute...she was alone and said she was between trains and on her way to NY to read The Declaration of Human Rights at a UN concert. We toured the Impressionist galleries, l asked her to lunch, and saw her off at her train...l took her hand, said may l call you Greer? ...and she replied with that great smile and said "of course, all my friends do"...l said the day meant so much to me... l didn't want to seem like a reporter so did not ask questions about her career...we just exchanged surface information about our lives...the next day at my job break co-workers talked about our weekend and l told them l had lunch with Mrs Miniver...a most memorable day...a brief encounter...Rich Athan

Jane Watson I don’t know how but I think I may be related to her also as I’m also from clan McGregor and a descendant of Rob Roy McGregor
@@2541940a Cool! All I can say is, thanks for believing me.
Jane Watson Well why not? Famous people have relatives that are just regular folk too lol
@@2541940a I know, but I thought people would be like "I don't think you are" or "Are you sure"
If I ever had a wife that looked that good I'd claim my droit de seigeur every night. Gorgeous woman.
before Meryl Streep, there's Greer Garson....

Rosemary Pizio I cannot tell you how pleased that makes me. Battle on sister! My sister is still fighting. Never give up hope.
Of all the so called beautiful ladies list here that i have read, how come I never see this actress included in any of them. She was gorgeous.
