Lakewood Grey is an Indie band from East Vancouver composed of Madelyn Read (vocals), Elliott Hedley (bass), and Andy Lang Wong (violin). These high school friends reunited during the covid-19 pandemic to write, record, and release their debut single “Mirror”. Grey’s songwriter, Elliott, wrote the song at the beginning of the pandemic as an ode to the challenge of maintaining connection while remaining apart. Then, Madelyn Read’s folk/country vocals and Andy Lang Wong’s celtic-style fiddle completed the song. Drawing inspiration from classic rock and modern folk artists, Lakewood Grey invites listeners into a unique and pensive indie-folk experience.
