I love to challenge myself with new DIYs all the time. Whether it's fixing something around the house or building something completely new, there is practically nothing I won't try my hand at. A Jack of all and a master of none ;)

Low Maintenance Backyard Garden- Dani's DIY
Переглядів 5126 років тому
I wanted a backyard vegetable garden that was low maintenance to fit with my busy lifestyle. I think I found a great solution both for my limited yard space and for minimal weeding. I spent a few hours here and there over the course of a week to complete this project. Like I said in the video, I did use a few other videos for inspiration. Check out these links for more detail on the methods I i...

Nothing fancy. Still a work in progress. Just a fun little video I threw together while goofin around with my son. I look forward to starting a "Grayson's Playhouse" show. If you liked this and want to see more fun videos, please like and subscribe!
You are so clutch for this. I had to watch several times but I figured out by the way your spring was spun, that I had wound mine up inside out/backwards. So there was no spring tension. I had a feeling but was too scared at first to damage the spring but I got the courage after seeing yours lol
thanks!
This is amazing. My daughter pulled the tape too hard and the spring came off and lost its recoil power. I watched a bunch of videos that didn't help, I was gonna throw it away. Then I watched this and it was perfect, step by step with so many tips. If this is how you fix things when you don't know what you're doing, you rock lady ❤❤
Dani, YOU are awesome! You actually showed me how to fix what i was doing wrong! Wind the spring with the curvey part towards the inside of the coil. Once I did THAT, my efforts FINALLY paid off! The spring metal needs to have the OPPOSITE curve than the tape measure itself!
I am not successful and can't get this repair to work. The tape doesn't retract or pull inwards. Could you write a step by step of the procedure. Is it the inside of the coil spring having to go into the grove of the spindle or is it the direction of spin I'm getting wrong. Help please otherwise regretfully I'm bining the tape
ok, now try to extend it full length ;)
Thanks alot... My Little Boys 5 and 6 spoilt it...with your guidance... Fixed it.
Thanks for showing the full coil. My coil broke in half. So can't fix it. oh well.
Nice video presentation 👍
I let my intrusive thoughts win today and I’m very thankful for this video!
Well done, Dani!
It was very helpful thank you
Thanks for teaching this May God bless you
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
It didn't work for me
This was very helpful. No butterfly clamp and three attempts. (trying to figure out the spring tension placement point). But it works--just like it did before one of the grand kids got to it.🙂
Thank you I saved 250 rs
Exactly what I needed. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing
Congrats, you did the impossible.
Thanks a lot madam. You have helped me save my honor for myself and my father.🤝
you just helped me make a string shooter...eternally grateful you earned a sub and a like
This is amazing! Been looking all over UA-cam for someone who fixes the unwinded spring and shows you how. Thank you!
Thanks ! 🌺
So clear. Tnx
It works
So nicely explained, tks a lot mam, this is Baljit Sheoran from Ambala,India.
Fantastic!!! Amazing!!! Wonderful!!! Sensible!!! Complete in minute but necessary details in comparison with many other videos. A lot of thanks for the video.
Just an fyi wear your jesus beads if your going to fix a tape measure because the amount of blood thats just come from my body ill need to pray after 😂
Thank you
I'm here because i broke the dad tape 😥.. but I set this because of you are angel for me
Way to go! (But, I love your baby sounds in the background!!!)
Thnx for u
Thank you
I am trying to fix a tape measure that I extended way to much, I almost threw it away but I though maybe I could fix it and we’ll I couldn’t figure out how the spring in the middle worked but now I totally got it thank you so much! This took me 20 minutes haha oh well
Great job. Keep it up.
Superb live demo. Loved your commentary and the background sound of a baby talking to itself :)
i was messing around and pulled it too much and it broke
Omg thanks a lott!!
OMG, you are my hero! LOL Gonna go give it a shot, I could NOT figure out which way the tension spring should go. Nope, tried, failed, threw it in the trash. LOL
If at first you don't succeed 😉
@@Dani-si3py I laughed out loud at that!!!
Thank you. Folks need to see women with the glitter nails and kiddo’s playing in background fixing things. Too many silly gender “rules” holding women back.
Hi cool people, please be careful with the tension it can break into pieces. I got the cut from it.
Winding it up is a PITA and the first two times I didn't do it enough. I still have a few feet that won't retract automatically but next time I open it up I'm gonna nail it. I have a feeling that an under wound spring is the source of most failures anyway.
Note to self: DO NOT let go of the tension recoil when removing it

Great way to learn how-to , by watching someone learn how to . I've seen it done so reckon I'll attempt to fix my old tape with the same issue though I still dread working on things that can go sproing ! Thanks for the video.
i wish i had the amount of patience and skills like you because i couldn't do it but at least i managed to put it back in. my little sister accidentally took the entire tape off trying to see how long it is. :')
Great job, so clever Lady.
The clamp method to hold it in place and then you let it go and back to square 1 😂😂😂 gets me. Hahaha. Great job btw!
You are very Genius , such a great work really appreciates..
