I do have a 40 series torque converter. What's making it so slow is the reverse gear box I put on it. I'm thinking on taking it off but its such a pain in the ass without it.

Did you wax your gloves for rain riding? I wax mine it helps block off rain. That blue hand towel will come in handy to wipe of rain residue !! i grew up with that music lol aww brought back so much good memories for me. i love riding in the rain but i would also get paranoid about rusts lol. - i noticed you have pretty good lane positioning for rain riding great for avoiding oil on the middle of the lane.
