2:13 I really like the way you present the issues. Very clear and easy to understand.
I think you need to have an area that has been raised with fill material (dirt) so that it drains - no good to keep animals in those conditions
Two cows for the price of one 🙂👌!
😂Thats right
Aka Scooby. Lol
Those prices are long gone!
Cute little calf.
Thank you 😊
Subbed
What made you switch to standard size cattle?
The mini cattle where just to smaaaaalllllll. Hanging weight was horrible
@@greenhornhomesteaders8249 do you sell privately or take to the sale barn? This was what I was worried about. I feel like it’s harder to sell the minis for beef…
@@quailjailss well it worked for some people but most people wanted more. I think my hanging weights averaged about 350 to 375 and that just wasn’t making it for me.
Are you raising minis?
@@greenhornhomesteaders8249 not yet. Debating whether to do mini cattle or just a few nurse cows with bum calves
❤❤❤❤😂
Well done ! Notes show good preparation... 🥇🙂 -KJ
Great 1st update ! Practice, practice, practice ... 🌞👍-KJ
"As long as it's healthy." 🙂
The result of leaving grain in the bin and leaving it outside.
I think tires contain lots of toxic chemicals, especially old, used and partially disintegrated tires
Tires are just rubber and metal.
Tires are hazardous waste. Dumps charge to take them, and so do tire stores. They cannot be put in the trash, which can cause hazards. Don't grow food in them, for sure. If you feed pigs in them, at least cut out the bottom where the tire is on the ground.
@@andydamiano5718 read my reply, tard. Tires have 2 components. Regular dumps cannot trash or recycle tires, because you have to separate the metal from the rubber, which is a lengthy and extensive process, that involves scraping all the rubber off the metal. Special tire recycling plants have trucks that pickup from shops, and they are expensive, otherwise said shop has to fund their own way to toss our old tires. You also must be 12 because old tires used to be used in tire swings. Tires only become toxic if you decide to light them on fire or melt the rubber, which will produce toxic and potentially cancer causing fumes, just like all rubber when it gets burnt or melted. I'm reporting your comment for misinformation.
They're a beautiful breed. I'd just have to flip one of those curly tails with my finger. 🧡🐖➰

SPOT ON!!!!
Pigs look great. Ours are almost 6 weeks old and doing great too. You really can't beat Hereford. Not many people down south here raise them. We've been doing AI for the past several years and using semen from a farm in Indiana. I believe you replied to me once and said you use a boar that a friend of yours has. I'm jealous of your pastures. Ours are in the woods. In my opinion the pork is even better than pure Berkshire.
