👍👍
Had several friends that raced these. They put the engine in Champion frames with their glass tank and seat section. Very fast and mostly reliable. Nice to see your work of art.
Thank you so much. Appreciated
How did I not hear you say that you have an aluminum tank on this bike?..I have one on mine and the flip up monza cap slobbers all over my nice paint. Where did you get a cap to thread on the male threads that the monza cap threads on to? Please 🙏
I took off the fip cap. And got an adapter machined up to fit the Bultaco cap. Worked well but i had to shave something off the Bultaco black material at bottom

@@noelsens1393That's what I figured. Thanks.

Nice work, and thanks for sharing! Sweet Bikes!
Thank You. Appreciated
Boy Noel you got those bultacos tuned, and boy do they sound crisp and clean. You running Amals or Mikunis. I have a real nice model 120 pursang I restored. Would you be interested in seeing a pic? I promise you it is one of the nicest and faithfully original restored pursangs youll see👍
Mostly Mikunis. Two Amals. Thank you re my bikes. Would love a picture of your bike
I have a, 120 Pursang also.
Hi Noel, do you like Pursangs as well? ......Bultacos👍
Yes. Robert. I have 3 Pursangs
@@noelsens1393 what years are they. Just sent you a comment to one one of your other astro restoration and mentioned my model 120 I restored...see if can view my comment I left and let me know....have to mention again crisp those bultacos of your sound👍
1974. Model 120. And 1976 Model 135. Australian delivery bikes
@@noelsens1393 The 135 was a 1975 model. I raced one back then. So how do I send you a pic of my 120.....

Oh, that sounds so nice....Bultaco 👍
Thank You
I just sold my 123 series… bit of a sad day.
Sad situation
Hey Noel from Mississippi! Nice video.
Thank You so much
To hear that they start first kick is amazing and hard to believe. I have a power dynamics electronic ignition set at 2.42 mm advance and .022 gap on the plug, but this thing cranks when it wants to, not me.
Turn fuel on. Lean on side till fuel overflows from carb. Then turn fuel off and try kick start ,David. When it goes.. turn fuel back on
@noelsens1393 I've seen videos of people doing that, but in all the years I've had this, I've never tried that. I will. If it works you will hear me yelling. I live in north Alabama.
@@davidkeeton6716. Good luck. It should help
@@davidkeeton6716 . I was in Alabama in January. I live in Australia. Beautiful state..yours
Sounds great. I wish my 71 model 87 Pursang 350 made that kind of hp.
Thank You.David
🏁
The only flattracker that I know of where you could buy one off the show room floor and go straight to the race track, and all you needed were numbers.
Great motorcycle.
Use to ride and race dirt bikes back in the early to mid 70s. More flat track style tracks. To this day I still think 70s flat track bikes were the coolest looking bikes. Back in the day one of my dream bikes was an XR-750. HD. Even though I was strictly into 2 strokes.
I agree with you completely, and I loved XR's@@Bitterstone3849
I knew two guys that did that, Charlie Wilson and Mike Owen from Cabin John Md.
I bought a 1969 Harley Davidson ERS 350 and raced it in District 36 at Fremont and Hayward as well as Lodi, Calistoga and Orland. I was very competitive with it even in the 1/2 miles. I took several 1st places in the 350/360 novice class. Then at a San Jose 1/2 mile I was helping Mert Lawwill unload his bike(getting in the way I am sure) I asked how I could make it more competitive and his response was "get a Yamaha". The next year I was not on a Yamaha but on a Champion framed Kawasaki Bighorn. Then my good finishes became first places and I started moving up and turned pro Novice. I remember my first lap on it the very first time I raced it was at an Orland 1/2 mile. I went out on the track for practice and just twisted the throttle as hard as I could going down the back straight. Passed a couple of guys and was thinking "Oh S!!t, this is fast". Then I realized I was already at turn 3 I was too late to slow down for the turn and barely made it through. I slowed down for a couple of laps to get a feel for it. After that is was great! Still love both those bikes and wish I still had them. I have to agree, those bikes were the best!
Preciosas
Gracias
I raced a 360 Astro in 1975 then handed it over to my next younger brother who won many races on it, including the Michigan state short track championship 2 years running. 30 years later my youngest brother dusted it off, put gas and oil in it and won a few vintage half miles with it!
Fantastic. Great news

Looking for a picture of a left peg mount for a Model 123…
I will send a photo. But from memory I made mine
👍👍👍👍
Sir you did a fantastic job on these bikes. Being a flat tracker from the seventies, I truly believe the Astro was the best flat tracker ever. Where else could you go to the show room and buy this bike and take it to the race track. All you needed was numbers for the number plates and you were off. Great video, you should be very proud!
Thank You. Clayton.
Thank you
Great tribute to the love and passion for Astros Is it difficult to adapt the Yamaha ignition to the Bultaco?
And he has grey hair like me......Oh how I still want to jump on and take off.....but the Hospital says No - No - No ! Old people don't bounce like young people do.
Just do it...
Sure they do, they just don't recover as well, but they bounce fine.😉 I have actually thought of putting together a Class C bike for District 36 and racing in the old man classes. Then reality hit me. Two titanium knees, fused back and a painful hip. Who am I fooling.
All that painting and buffing just flys out the window when they just sit in the barn.Got big and fat and dont ride any of them much any more.Shame on me.
You will fix them..
Makes me feel awful guilty for letting my Buls get dusty with dulled out aluminum.
All good. Bultacos can be dull. Long as they exist still
My Dad owned an Ossa Stiletto and my older brother had a 250 Pursang. That Ossa ran forever and ever. The Pursang had a finicky clutch and transmission. However both were a ton of fun to ride. As a 13 year old I liked my brothers Pursang because it had a lower seat height than contemporary Japanese bikes at the time. You have some beautiful machines there. I have always wondered what made the Astra such a desirable flat track bike?
Great old Bikes. Dave. Worth saving
The Astros were made in low numbers. A successful race bike still. So always popular. 20 thousand dollars for nice ones now
Give me a 360 Bultaco El Bandito with a 40 mm pumper racing carb, I'll meet them at the flat track anytime❗"👍"🧞♀️👳♂️🧞♂️👌 Hedsen🥳🤠😆👹
I have 250 pursang cases with no serial numbers 75ish (replacement cases ?) just a thought!
Replacement cases for sure.
Those are 3 beautiful examples of why I've always drooled over Bultacos! Love the paint scheme! I always wanted a 125 Pursang when I was a teen, hoping to achieve success like my idol, Jim Pomeroy. Was never fortunate enough to get one but life ain't over yet!
Thank you.
Thank you re bikes. I am proud of the old bikes
Pursangs are badass but a model 85 at 15mph has a lot to be said

Beautiful Astro they just look amazing. Keep looking every day to find one to buy. Anyway of to shops to buy fiberglass filler for Pursang boat base. Seen a Astro seat going for around £330 on Ebay so if goes down black Friday will buy it.

Hi Noel looked into buying from States for Parts the shipping and duty cost a lot more than item. Just put the Bultaco 250 Go Kart engine in. Can not find any information on Bultaco go Karts engines or Vids on them anywhere. If No Good have 3 Pursang engines to full back to. Anyway better go as could write for ages asking you questions on Flat Track. Thanks for info
