I gotta say this high school orchestra is exceptional, as is the saxophonist!!! I'm also practicing mendelssohn rn :) To make it sound this good on a saxophone ... this has definitely humbled me

extremely well performed ! great compliment -- also very well would sound, if one would play the solo part with an altsaxophone, 1 octave lower ... -- p.s.: in my opitnion, in particular the 1st and 2nd movement (not the 3rd, a pity) are, anyway, two of the most beautiful compositions for solo instrument and orchestra which ever have been written)

Such a rich and developed sound!

A wonderful example of the capabilities of classical saxophone! There were some tuning problems in the higher registers, but I appreciate the respect given to the piece in playing the full scored range. Vibrato was consistent but not at all offensive, unlike many players saxophone players who often overcompensate when playing for strings. Emulation of the cello timbre was very enjoyable, especially in the first movement, and parts of 2. movement seemed to use a novel articulation technique? Overall a very nice interpretation from a seeming virtuoso. Are you reading an original cello score or an arrangement for baritone (and if so could you advise as to where it can be found)?
