Hi! Great job! I'm so inspired! Question about the acrylic - do you mix that in with the rest of your concrete -or- is it something you brush on later when you are trying to smooth it all out? Also, just want to make sure - is it concrete or is it mortar? Thank you so much!
@@raeperalta see video description for the cement recipe that I use. The acrylic is mixed with the cement. The acrylic is what binds the cement perfectly giving you a long lasting weatherproof surface l. I used it also to burg it on to give me a smoother surface. Make sure you clean each mosaic before it dries very important. Goodluck 😘♥️

Couple of questions. You mentioned "we are not going to use water; we are going to use this product."... then you showed us acrylic. However, you typed: 1part acrylic to 3parts water. I think that is the binder. However, another confusion I had: was this "acrylic" used straight when it was used as a glue applying the petals, or was it the 1to3 mixture? Thank you, LD
I truly apologize for the confusion. according to the acrylic instructions on the bottle you’re not supposed to mix it with water however if you want to save material then at the three parts water, if you don’t then you are welcome to use it as is. I always mix it with three parts water and it binds perfectly but you are welcome to use it straight out of the bottle. I’m just cheap lol and I like to save money anyway I can 😁

Go to the video description I have posted a recipe of a cement mixture that’s weatherproof. According to the individual who came up with this recipe your project will withstand up to 10 years of harsh weather

Try a beach ball too. Smaller but still round. Balloons can be done also.

How long does it take to finish
@@mikey-chan1450 it took me a few weekends to complete. I worked on it for at least 5 hours each day during the weekend. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching 😘
❤ Beautiful job, I did do this a couple of years ago but the details you did I love. What brushes or how small or strong the tips to keep it strait 😊
Thank you so much for watching. I used brushes specially for acrylic paint. The longer skinny liner brush with a short handle worked well. My advice if you are going to do this design, be very patient and understand that you’re probably going to paint over a few times until you get the desire shade that you’re happy with. Good luck!

No I left everything inside.
A helpful tip..use an exterior base paint an exterior paints will help make the paint last longer

Also you could get plates very cheap at thrift stores. I have also purchased flat bottom glass marbles that would work also.

I use Portland cement in my sculptures. I’m going to try your recipe. The problem is there are several cement compositions, all cement, cement & sand, fast setting, etc. specifically which one are you using? A picture would be very helpful. Thanks!

Portland cement gets its name from its resemblance to Portland stone, a type of building stone quarried on the Isle of Portland in Dorset, England. (per Google, 🙂) These are SO beautiful! I am redoing my parking strip soon, and I can't wait to try this project! 💗

Are the orbs easily broken?
Not at all! Remember that you have two layers of cement. The first layer is to make the ball the second layer is to create the decoration.
