For the price and quality. Go for it. I have the 4K sets and those will probably always be my go to set. It’s compact. Everything you need in a regular size Blu-ray case.

If it was 4K that’s the basic price. I set a cap of $25 for a 4K/Blu-ray combo on a new movie. Unless it’s a classic I absolutely love 👍🏻 I look at it this way if it’s cheaper than a night at the movies with the wife. It’s a good deal.

They are still shipping, because I just received the Fonzie. I think they just don’t care and their business just sucks. They need customer service. A good company cares about their consumers and feedback. It’s out of Hong Kong. Maybe they need someone who can read English. Whatever the issue is. They have $2800 of my money.

That’s an ongoing joke in my family. Those ashes scare me. Especially when the family has to decide where they go. I don’t want that in my house. The way I feel about my family. That stuff, be haunted. You never visited me when you were alive. Now I need to take care of these things when you’re dead. No sir, not me. I have family who have shrines. That creeps me out. Go dump that in the ocean or in their favorite place. Before “Blockbuster” closed I use to tell my wife to put my ashes in her pocket and walk around and sprinkle them on the “Blockbuster” rug. I’d end up in the vacuum. 😂

I personally don’t feel like the upgrade is necessary if you have the Blu-ray. The extras are on the Blu-ray and if you have a Blu-ray player with 4K upscaling. It’s already a beautiful picture.

No need to upgrade. If you have the Blu-ray set. That’s all you need.

I didn’t every episode to be a downer. I’ve been going through so much lately. A lot of change in my life. I don’t do well with change. I recorded yesterday. Don’t worry the rants are coming. With physical media becoming so scarce. Even if it wasn’t 😂 I’m always looking to add to the collection.

It has been a rough week. I was sent home on “Mental health days” So I didn’t want them to go to waste. So I was told to evaluate my life, reflect, set boundaries and make a change. So it’s a work in progress. I hope it all ends well. At the very least I entertained someone. Like, share and subscribe 😂👍🏻 I know you’re already subscribed. I’m just making light of a difficult situation.

We ask for official releases. It’s sad that sometimes we have to either settle or receive bootlegs. Just because we love the classics so much. Yea with me.. no box, no artwork, no purchase. I like to watch classic, but I also am a big fan of the artwork. Media is my Art museum. I could spend a day looking at movie posters. I don’t think I could do that at a art museum 😂

This is great! I didn’t really intend it to work that way, but I’m glad it did. This video was actually recommended by an online counselor who said. “I needed to go back and find myself” he felt that 26 years of caring for others and only thinking about others. I lost something in myself. I carry around a lot of guilt for things I felt I had to do to care for my family. Am I a perfect person? Nobody is, but at least we have to try. I battle with my past. With parents that don’t accept responsibility for their actions and I am learning everyday to take ownership for my mistakes. I’m. Glad you got something out of this. It was very therapeutic. I did break down after making it. The flood gates opened. All we can do is try, every day.

I don’t do “Stock photos” anymore. Now I request additional photos. If they don’t communicate or send them. I just move on. There are a lot of good EBay sellers. Unfortunately you run into those scammers and I don’t know how they do it, but they list their stuff and make their business seem local. Then I find out it’s junk from Hong Kong or China. Stuff I could get from “Wish” but you did come through in a pinch and I appreciate it. The gig was better because I could provide them exactly what they wanted. I believe you get what you give and I’m definitely not a rich person. I know what it’s like to struggle. The gig was for a special family. It all worked out 👍🏻

Oh and Dark Crystal..Use to scare me, but my kids loved it. There is a part where the puppets fall down a hill. I personally don’t remember it, but my kids found it hilarious.

@@meltingmovies1945 You aren't supposed to use stock photos unless you are an authorized distributor or the original manufacturer yourself. It doesn't seem to be enforced very much though. The people that make themselves look local are usually easy to spot to. Look for an item and you'll find that many have the same stock photo, but all slightly different prices and different users with names like "vkg546dgf" or some randomly generated nonsense. The trick is to look for item location. You'll see that many listings with the same stock photo, but different users, all ship from the same city. Coincidence? These companies have multiple accounts and don't care which one you buy from. They win either way. Most of the time the items are drop shipped from Amazon, another thing that is against TOS, but I've never seen enforced. You aren't allowed to sell items that you have to buy from another store to ship directly to the customer. Here is the exact wording from eBay: "However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay." I can find hundreds of listings that likely violate this rule in a few minutes. Asking for more pictures is a sure fire way to vet them out too. If you ask me for pictures all I have to do is pull it from my inventory shelf and snap away. They don't physically have the item so it is impossible for them. With eBay's messed up feedback system, after I eventually get refunded I cannot leave negative feedback about that. It blocks it out for me or doesn't even let me leave feedback at all. If you leave negative comments in a positive review just to get it seen, it is also a violation of TOS and that WILL be enforced. To the layman that seems a little complicit, but I'm no detective.

I’ve sold a few things before. You have to make it your sole job to actually make any money. I won’t sell anything on EBay again. I was negative $13 last time. Just because I purchased insurance to guarantee safety to the seller. The percentage on what you sell, tax and fees are ridiculous. When EBay started it was like an online flea market.

I put a cap on whatever the purchase is. I only bid as high as I’m willing to actually pay. If it goes too high. I let it go. Had to learn patience. There are always new things posted every day. I’m not sure what happens if someone does the same thing I do. That’s why I usually bid a dime or a quarter higher. I believe in my head it’s difficult for another bidder thinking I’m going to bid. $150.10. They might lose over a dime. It’s a gamble, I don’t like to bid. Honestly it raises my blood pressure and gives me anxiety. Then when I win I get relief, but if I lose I still get relief. Then the hunt continues.

Plus you get a percentage the more you buy.

I’ve seen “Phone Booth” great movies. Didn’t make me claustrophobic. I think because it’s a phone booth not a dark cave. My father locked me in the attic when I was like 8 and it was in the ceiling with no stairs. Had to climb a ladder. Well he closed the sliding door and took the ladder away. Leaving me in the dark. In an attic where you had to step on planks or you fall through the ceiling. I was in there for about an hour screaming. Ever since then heights and dark enclosed spaces have not been my friend.

@iNeverHadMercy I’m living through. Just added a few phobias to my collection. He sent me up there for Christmas decorations. I don’t know if he forgot, but he took the ladder away and slid the door shut. It was pitch black. I had to crawl my way to the opening without falling through the ceiling. He took a nap on the couch. I finally slid the door open, but I couldn’t get down from the 7/8 foot ceiling and he didn’t come running to get me either. It’s whatever now, but I stay away from ladders and dark spaces.

No actually I have an outfit just for that. Black and white blank baseball jersey and black and white checkered adidas. I’ve had them for approximately 25 years and only wear them to DJ. I think they are worth a lot. They are mint, because they only come out for gigs. Then get boxed up.

That’s kind of you. I’m sure you would have. My father-in-law helped with 3 panels. Just because I wanted it to look nice for the neighbors. I was worried about their comfort over mine. Cost almost $400 just in materials for 3 panels, 3 posts and concrete. My back is shot, but we got that part done. The rest is a work in progress. But I appreciate the gesture. There are good people out there. 👍🏻

I grew up with the first 3 also. They were perfect and Han shot first. Disney should leave perfection alone. I love the practical effects and puppets. They were believable then and now. No reason to CGI the crap out of things. If it’s not broke. Don’t fix it. You can’t even find the original anymore and watching Han step over an invisible Jaba is just stupid. They created more CGI characters to sell more merchandise.

@@meltingmovies1945 , Greedo shooting first is awful. As dumb as Vader yelling No in Return of the Jedi. or Alert my Stardestroyer to prepare for my arrival in Empire. I have no idea what George is thinking with these changes, they make no sense. Like Greedo yelling Maclunky at Han before Han shoots him. The optical recomposites I can see or fixing misaligned rotoscope on lightsabers or that awful landspeeder shot. But he went too far.

I’m always in the hunt for what I remember as a child. I loved Star Wars with all its pops and crackles. I don’t mind them enhancing things, but give us the OG too.

@@meltingmovies1945 , yeah i did compare the UHD disc to 4k77 which isn't a fair comparison, but it was a night and day difference. One was a 1080P file and the other 4k so its hardly fair and one was in HDR and the other SDR. One had really terrible laserdisc audio in lossy format no better than the 1970s and one had remixed from original music masters and original effects stems, one had way too much dirt and grain and the other was scrubbed free. The 1977 mix isn't all that dynamic, the 1993 mixes and 1997 mixes sound better imho. Though to be fair I haven't ever heard the baby boom 70mm 6 track stereo with monaural surrounds mix. Just the flat sounding 77 2 channel stereo I had on VHS for years. I don't have the mono mix with clicks and pops because Puggo used a declicker on it, but i do have his 16mm DVD somewhere.
