I had the same issue. It happens when the sound processor has been susceptible to any change OR if the relay enabling sound output towards the speakers is not triggering properly. A slap to help the relay is move worked fine for me then it goes away for a few months until either the power went off at home or if I was fiddling worth hdmi inputs.

is a bad contact on board, look at the back , at left side you see mx-port and remote control connections. thos connections have a little board inside. this board sometimes get statics sounds. i was opened the unit. just 4 screws. and put a object like eraser gum 2cmx1.5cm between cover and this board. the preassure keeps this card in place and prevets noise.

Hey I had that same problem but it was only bad contact, I just puted down the cover and pressed little beat at right corner board.and it has stoped and it better than before when it was New. No noise

Hi guys i have a OLD Tedelex TE502AV it sounds exactly like this if its on surround sound affect but if i just put it on stereo mode it works perfectly fine . when i turn back to sound affects it will play for bit then it will sound like that on this video any ideas please email me . thank you

save the processor settings then reset then reload settings per page 121 of owners manual - works for me. processor is susceptible to voltage fluctuations through the HDMI connections.

Oh boy I had the same issue in fact it’s probably still there. What I did find was the sound originated from my HDMI ports. I unplugged everything and it was my WiiU, not sure if it would do it in all the ports, but I just leave it unplugged tilll in use, no problems otherwise. I also upgraded all my HDMI cables except for that one again no issues but this only a suggestion.

I just started having a similar issue with a different noise last night. All outputs, not effected by volume. This is my second SR5008 as the first one was replaced within a year for a similar but very intermittent problem. Not good.
