Now you need to play some Jimmie Rogers. Both Jimmie and Gene could yodel. They nearly sound alike too. At first I was thinking there was a mistake. Someone mistook Jimmie Rogers songs for Gene Autrys songs. Still think it's Jimmie's songs.

Thanks for the share of this wonderful material. While I enjoy all of Gene's work on record and on screen, there's no question that this is his purest music and it's deeply felt. I can visualize Gene sitting in that rural telegraph office playing and singing in between customers.

My mom had this record! I'm busy compiling an easy listening list of music I used to hear on Mom's stereo or kitchen radio in the early to mid 1960's. I miss the cozy ambiance of those times.

The greatest guitarist that ever lived was Chet Atkins. I loved his album, Nick and neck with Mark Knopfler. What a great album also love all of the rest of the music he ever did. He was my guitar hero. He inspired me to play. I’ve been playing since 1974 actually play his songs it wasn’t easy. I learned how to read music, thank you chat you’re really helped me and I’m grateful for your inspiration. Your music is beautiful. May you rest in peace❤️❤️😢🎸🎼🎵🎶🎸
