These Chinese pumps have one serious flaw. Once, when working, the PCB in the handle blew up right in my hand. I found the schematic reversed engineered by someone in the Internet somewhere. The current limiting resistor R5 for the Zener diode (D3) is only 1/4 W. But upon calculation it is evident it should dissipate around 1W of power. No wonder it blew and took the Zener with it also (and some other components, I think, most probably the D4 also). I replaced the blown components. For current limiting, installed a 2W resistor instead (or two 1W resistors in parallel, do not remember now). Now the device is in good use and I am more confident about it not blowing with fire right in my hand again. So, do not just change the PCB. Change the R5 resistor to a more robust one. Otherwise, the new PCB can also explode.

7 months later how is the gun holding up? Have you painted much with it?

Yes correct the high beam Didn’t work when flicked so had to put a new relay to keep low beam when head light is turned on

Do u fix high beam?

What do you think is the best? The gti pro or this new one? Does it worth to spend more money on this one? Thank you!

note 24psi was much better in spraying clear than the 17 psi on gti pro
