    How are you meant to be chivalrous in the modern age? For example; How would you lay your coat across a puddle to guide your girl over the puddle, when they're lying face down in that same puddle with their ass hanging out whilst being as drunk as a skunk and a bottle of Smirnoff Ice in their hand? Asking for a friend.. 😂🤣😂🤣

    • @Jack_W26
      @Jack_W26 Місяць тому

      😂🤣 Sounds like your 'friend' has some stories to tell! But in all seriousness, chivalry isn’t just about grand gestures like laying coats over puddles anymore-it’s about being thoughtful and respectful, even when life gets messy. Maybe modern chivalry is helping them get home safe and hydrated 😅.

    This is a trash take. Cops ask these questions that they know all the answers to so they can establish how the suspect behaves when being truthful, then when the serious questions come afterwards they're better placed to judge their honesty 🤡

    • @Jack_W26
      @Jack_W26 Місяць тому

      Thank you for your insight! I understand the technique you're referring to, but the point in the video is about everyday conversations, not interrogation tactics. The term 'FBI Agent' was used in the book as a playful metaphor for someone who asks rapid-fire questions in normal conversations, which can feel overwhelming and kill the flow. It’s not meant to apply to professional settings like law enforcement. Appreciate your perspective though!

    School was maybe the better place to locate like minded people as you could more easily discard the people not gelling with, larger pool of people and long time to get to know them... But people move

    • @Jack_W26
      @Jack_W26 Місяць тому

      Yes, school can be a good place to meet friends for several reasons, but it might be harder to find truly like-minded people. A school has a relatively small number of people compared to the world at large. Once you’re out in the world and involved in activities that genuinely interest you, you’re more likely to meet others who share those interests.

There is an exaggerated sense of politeness today where frustrations and other negative emotions have to be supressed of which i think you could more easily display before along with having to be politicslly correct, which makes socializing more annoying. I think procrastination and overthinking are challenges most people struggle with. In one of my videos that was almost all reading (How To Create Luck), I read the whole part where Arkad talks about overcoming procrastination. He explains that while procrastination is a natural tendency, it’s also a major obstacle to success. Arkad emphasizes the importance of immediate action and how small, consistent efforts can yield great results over time. He advises starting with small tasks right away, rather than waiting for the 'perfect' time, which often never comes.

      @@Jack_W26 Great knowledge and wisdom you have gained! I'm not sure if you are familiar with a gentleman by the name of Alan Watts. He is a writer, speaker, philosophical entertainer. A Bright man of character. In one of his videos here talks about how overthinking will kill your reality lol very enjoyable to listen too and i would recommend check him out sometime on any of his philosophy talks. If i may me ask a question... What are you searching for in life wealth, wisdom, knowledge, business etc

    • @Jack_W26
      @Jack_W26 2 місяці тому

      I’m not so familiar with him, I may have heard some of his work but don’t remember. I found this quote from Alan watts: “A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts. So he loses touch with reality and lives in a world of illusions.” I read the book The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle and he says some very simular things. Like this: “The more you are focused on time-past and future-the more you miss the Now, the most precious thing there is.” And this reminds me of this quote: “If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present.”

    Would rather a comfortable silence or a non-stop talk? The conversation has to stop at some point. The paradox is that when we have a non-stop talk behavior people don't take us seriously when it need to because as they say : " talk is cheap".

    • @Jack_W26
      @Jack_W26 2 місяці тому

      The conversation naturally ends at some point-just not prematurely. It should flow like a back-and-forth volleyball game, as described in the book. This doesn’t mean non-stop talking, but rather a balanced exchange where both people are engaged. There might be moments of silence, but they’ll be comfortable, not awkward, because the conversation hasn't gone dry. And you're right-non-stop talking from one person isn’t ideal. However, when you encourage the other person to talk about themselves, they often leave the conversation feeling happy and valued.
