where is the fun of playing this?

I can't seem to get a book of apocalypse or mana shield. Is there a special way to get them? I have been constantly savescumming with Adria for days now to no avail.

Just found out about belzebub mod.... I felt in love with diablo again. Made it to nightmare and 37 lvl on my sorc. Question : where do you get book of apocalypse from ? Tried the hidden tresure sanctum and ran iilt over 100 times did not get a single book of apocalypse yet. I remember getting the book in hellfire from na krul boss

That’s kinda hard to farm this way, the monsters with charge bolts or poison enchanted can instantly kill u with spamming chain lightning… needs to teleport fast. And they have really high resistance mini bosses 😢

How did you get that staff? I only find staffs with max 20 resistance. Thnx!

So many good memories of this game from 1997...

man I will never forget the day when my dad came home from work and handed a fresh copy of Diablo to the 13 year old me, it had just been released and it got me stuck in front of our powerhouse of a 120Mhz pentium pc for days on end.. nothing since has managed to even get close to its athmosphere..

27 years later and the gameplay still holds up pretty well, aside from the slow movement speed.

How do you record footage for Devilutionx? Geforce Experience just stops when I try to record footage. Thanks

30fps records much more detail than 60fps under 1080p resolution.

Daylight condition 4k 30 and 4k 60 has similar clarity. 60fps doesn't really prevent motion blur.

How do you get around Immunes, Lightning enchanted for instance, some unique mobs barely take damage, i run through all my skills to get around immunes and i'm lvl 31

well there are multiple "problems" 1. you using turrented weapons, if you not always hosting multi-crew those weapons have more disadvantages very low damage, plus they can not move as far as Gimbaled weapons do. 2. you have no Kinetic Weapons at all (which isn't a problem) but will make your kills multiple times harder. 3. ALL lasers have termal vent as you can see your screen keeps freezing. to solve problem 2 and 3. use gimballed lasers instead and only have the Thermal vent experimental on one or two of them. the other ones better use different Experimentals, the ones on smaller hardpoints you could overcharge as example for more damage. sadly there is no real experimental for lasers that would add true kinetic damage, that's why I use Rail Guns instead. also set a priority for the things not needed during combat higher than the weapons. as example set everything essential (like Lifesupport, power, thrusters) to 1, shield generator, fighter bay, capacitor to 2, all the weapons and shield boosters to 3, and then set the things you not need to 4 .. like the cargo hatch, supercrueise assist, landing and docking, FSd, when you deploy you see an error that the power is not enough and everything in that group that exceeds the power will be disabled. so you can play with this things a little bit and manage a sweet spot, as it would be preferable to keep the FSD active so you can jump faster (if you change your mind)

Is there anything planned to have Diablo drop items? In hellfire fiexed by belix Diablo was supposed to Always drop an Item. He did...Always the butchers cleaver :D I think ist would bei a good opportunity to make Diablo and na crul both have Them drop items no other enemy can drop: e.g. godly Plate of the whale etc..

I love when people talk about things they have 0 clue about. It's embarassing. "- The feature to refresh the shop by reloading a save was removed, so I had to start a new session each time just to get some books rolled out." It wasn't a feature, it was a bug. "- They made level a much bigger deal. If you are at level 1, in hell mode you would barely hit anything with your magic, but once you have leveled up, you can hit your enemies as accurate as impossible, but your enemies cannot hit you as much." - that's exactly how the original works, we haven't changed it, but keep crapping on us. "- They made enemies stronger, and the player weaker. You can see that in the final fight. In the original game the stun effect is not so much exaggerated. I don't know what's the joy with that. Maybe they should even make the player instantly die at the sight of its enemies." - aaaand ... wrong again, the only thing we did was fixing bugs where values wrapped around and ended up being much lower than they should be (like diablo having 20% hit chance on hell etc.) To sum up, you have no clue what you are talking about. Nobody is forcing you to play DevilutionX, go back to your "perfect" vanilla if we ruined the game so much.

Liked the video. A bit of advice, if you set the super cruise assist module to have a lower priority it will be disabled automatically when you deploy your weapons. I usually set any modules I don’t want powering on at priority 4 or 5 to be sure. Thanks for the video.

How is it possible to use chainlightning w/o targetting?? With the left Click.

In the original you can also miss with fireball. And from what we have been able to determine in Hellfire 1.01 apocalypse always costs 90 mana, despite what some websites claim.
