Every artiste be it vocal or instrumental has to present the raaga in all its diversities without sticking to a rigidly set pattern of exhibiting it . Greatest kambodhi can be played on flute..seems like the raga is made for the flute. If you hear mahalingams kambodhi, that is the end state of everything -pinnacle of all music. Nothing else can come even close. Having said that, MMI parimalarangapathe, maa janaki, GNB and ariyakudi subramanyaya namaste are masterpieces in their own right
