"The Reason" is the second album by Hoobastank, produced by Howard Benson and released by Island Records. It reached number 3 in the US and was certified 2x Platinum. In 2004, it was nominated for the Best Rock Album category at the 47th Grammy Awards.
The second single from the album, "The Reason," peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on the Modern Rock Tracks.
It was also nominated for Song of the Year at the 47th Grammy Awards.
