I used to think it was Herbie Luv Bug saying Push It
Loved this band 💋♥️
a great song called "Bigfoot" -- ua-cam.com/video/TErUZzmnUXI/v-deo.html
Big tune....good memories of the 70's
Good music
This was music
Top tune. Nice one
Salt-N-Pepa Push It
This is amazing! Love from the 'paign!
elon in the back
Sounds like Randy Newman
Hope Salt n Pepa gave them a huge cut of the millions made from the 1986 remix!
🤯I never knew
I guess some people liked Custer but I doubt it
Let me be the very first to comment......Dave Walker is a hidden gem....shhhhh
Back through the mists of Tim, baby! Loved these guys since the first time I saw ‘em on IU Campus!
Hey Leon! It's Bill. This is the best R&B record to come out of Champaign.
The last song on Infinite Rider......LP. Never hear much talk about the great change from the country type tunes Nez had been doing into the new style that happened in a short time here in 1979. That LP was soooooo cool
Nes and his mind never stayed in one place to long.He was always thinking ahead.
Push it real good. SnP
Great song by the wonderful Mike Nesmith ❤🙏
Rest In Peace Papa Nez
Love this one. Remember it well. Like Tom Nally I saw them live a few times. Love the original album as well. Have both albums in storage.
Damn good groove.
so good Salt N Pepa stole it ;)
I have this album and the original Ship album as well. Love em.
Great versiin
Hey , thanks for posting, I really .appreciate it! I was in central Illinois during Pork ATHD's heyday and saw them numerous times, brings back many memories
This was my favorite band when attending SIU Carbondale back in the late 60's - early 70's.
Just push in, no excuse me. F**K everyone else, where's your manners, young loud American punk's, lol.
This is pure magic.
'now WAITaminute!.. " -exactly one minute
"Awwwww 5hittttttt..."
I was privileged to be a guest during several live performances by Coalkitchen or Carla and the Untouchables. Great music by most excellent and talented folks. There were a couple more times, but the two I remember were "Mother's" in Champaign on Little Kings night and Ted's Warehouse during a blizzard. The latter great fun, but the three and a half hour drive back home in a white-out of wind driven snow at 3AM, was a challenge.
A truly great version.
His ghost scared so many people they tore the house down
Pia Zadora tore down a house that should have been a museum.
Many thanks
vma
Salt n pepa sampled a lot of this song
A lot? It seems only the whisper "push it" 😅
Wow!
Loved this song when it came out in the 70's!
Why are people sleeping on this
Very energizing
Heard this on NPR, Saturday the 28th while driving. I've been trying to figure out what the hell it was ever since. Mouth Jive gets zero results, I couldn't remember much. Reverend Corvette finally came back to me and that got me to the name of the band and the song, which got me here. The first commercial is brilliant but I love the whole medley.
Dear Carla and her Cub Scout shirt...lovb
It's truly amazing how much bad music has been foisted on us through radio and music awards programs. I'm not talking just about music that I don't personally like, some songs have grown on me through the years. There have been far too many good bands and performers who never got the attention they deserved and eventually faded away. "Long Winter" is a song that should have been picked up by big city stations, at least in the midwest. Thank goodness for UA-cam and posters that bring us the good stuff.
Nice soul jam.
I'm from Champaign. I saw them play live several times.
I was living in Champaign for a couple of years after college. I didn't know this band but went to see them one night with some friends. I remember this song very vividly and then they announced it was their last performance. I was like - you gotta be shittin me.
I was a student at SIU from '73-'78 (back again for grad school in '83). Coal Kitchen was my absolute favorite band to listen/dance to at Merlin's Pub on Illinois Ave. This was such a great memory...! Thank you to whoever found this piece of gold!
