Reading Jeremy's book memoir I had to check out this album. What he went through is amazing to see he comes out successful with God guiding his every step. Great song.

Love it! I just read the book "Melissa if one Life " and she talked about this song so I had to check it out!

I got into Jeremy when Stay came out and I had heard about this album. I asked on a few message boards where I could get it and most of people just laughed and said good luck, it's been out of print for awhile & only had so many copies made. But the Holy Spirit told me that somehow I was gonna have it About 6 months later somebody that I only knew online and had never met, sent me a padded envelope. I opened it work & instantly was crying. My coworker asked why I was crying, and I told her because I didn't think I would get it. She said but you said you knew in your heart you'd get it someday. I said yeah but I didn't think this soon or like this. (It was personally autographed to me by Jeremy. She taken it to a song show to get it signed) I've seen Jeremy over 60 times & I get to see him again this Sunday. Thanks for the nice reminder of my walk with this anointed brother.

I had this demo tape...got this from the band via mail. I think I saw the an ad for this in MRR or Flipside & just bought it sight unseen. I liked them so I later bought their first 7" on Blackball (?)... these guys played Vegas a few times around this time. Me and a friend drove them around to a few parties one time... probably '87 or '88. I think they'd played Vegas once or twice before that. So for the crowd that thinks these guys weren't really punk, you are incorrect... they were definitely part of the punk scene. I really liked them. I thought they sounded a little like TSOL back then.

I like both versions of the song. I think the main differences between the two is the guitar(s), it seems to be a lot.. floatier, fainter, than the original, which combined with the vocals in the chorus makes the song feel more like its set after a tragic love story, the pain's over but still hangs over his head, whereas the original, with only one main guitar playing (forgive my lack of proper terminology), made it feel deeper, in the sense that the singer was still caught up with his tragic love and was trying to express it, to the world and to himself. I like both concepts and even though they're probably horribly wrong and I'm just overanalyzing, there's my two cents on the topic.
