It got cut out, but when Alastor’s up on the second floor watching the party, you can see Pentious talking to Charlie, with the eye on his hat focused on Cherri… and then Charlie gets SUPER excited. She probably encouraged him to go over and talk to Cherri. With Charlie’s shield-it’s not just apple-themed, but it has six wings like her dad. I actually like that Vaggie and Lucifer showed Mercy to Lute and Adam. The fallen angels displayed more Virtue than the angels that hadn’t called. (Mercy being one of the Seven Virtues that run opposite to the seven deadly sins.) I’ve seen you say to over commenters that Helluva Boss is on your list to watch eventually. Given your response to HH, that’s going to be exciting. 🤣🤣🤣 A bunch of people will flood you and tell you to watch the pilot for HB first. Just to clarify in it- the HB pilot is NOT canon to the show. HH’s pilot is soft canon (most of the differences are aesthetic, with only minor changes in other areas), but they made much bigger changes between pilot and series for HB. All of the characters have some level of change between the two, including one whose entire ROLE in the show changed (not saying who or what the role was changed from or to, but just to give you information for making a decision). It’s up to you whether you want to watch it or not. While HH focuses on Sinners and the relationship between Heaven and Hell, HB focuses instead on the lives of the native hellborn and what existence is like for them. And a world-building thing that is only explained outside of the shows: Sinners are confined to the Pride Ring, while hellborn exist in and can travel between all seven rings. There’s an abstract model of the seven rings in the background of Lucifer’s room in episode 5-that’s the rainbow-looking thing with seven layers. Each ring has a different colored sky that looks like a rainbow when viewed together.

I love that when Vaggie complained about fighting with long hair, Carmila IMMEDIATELY put hers down to counter Vaggie’s complaint. lol I also love the line “fill yourself with the fear of losing that person whose your reason to live”, because it’s not specific to the connection. Sure for Vaggie it’s her girlfriend, but it could also be friends or family (like for Carmila it’s her daughters). Romantic partners, friends, family… all are important forms of love. A screencap from the end where Charlie is hugging Vaggie with her wings out got accidentally leaked by one of the news articles promoting the series before it released. All of those who already suspected Vaggie was an Angel went CRAZY.

So this is entirely speculation, but here’s an idea behind the symbolism of Vaggie losing her left eye- There’s a passage in the Bible that says (non-exact quite): If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. Most of the exorcist angels have the right (“sinful”) eye X’d over. Vaggie had her left (“non-sinful”) eye plucked out and leaving her with just the right (“sinful”) one. Also one of the drugs Cherri offers Angel is PCP, which goes by another name: angel dust. Ultimate temptation for Angel.

A quick clarification for Zestial’s line in ep 3- “fell to holy arms” means “killed by an angelic weapon”, implying Alastor dying in an extermination. It’s using “fell” as a euphemism for “killed” and “arms” as “weapons” (see: “arms dealer” as someone who sells weapons, or the US’s “right to bear arms” as having guns. “Arms” being short for “armaments”.) 14:40 I don’t think Lucifer is saying it as a joke. I think he’s grasping at any straw he can in order to connect with Charlie. I do love that he’s immediately accepting of Vaggie (even if he mishears her name). I also have a personal headcanon that he immediately recognized what Vaggie is (and had an aborted reach above her head…)

One detail that gets me is in Poison when we get to “I disassociate, disappear,” Angel starts actually disassociating and we keep flipping back and forth between where he’s gone in his head, and what’s actually happening. Another heartbreaking detail-Angel has a bottle of Velvette’s “love potion” in his dressing room, and the amount in it goes down over the course of the song.

There was a small but passionate subset of fans that believed the Vaggie’s-an-angel theory prior to the show, including me. So you’re definitely not alone!

Related to the height talk… Sooo many people in the show are ridiculously tall. Charlie is roughly 6 ft 2 in (~1.9m), Alastor is a couple inches taller. Angel is at least 8ft tall (~2.4m). And Lucifer is a short king at 5ft 2 in (~1.6m). Vaggie’s only a little taller than him, I forget what’s been said by the crew. (I’m short myself at 5 ft, ~1.5m.)

How cool it must be to work in a cat cafe, I'd love that but unfortunately for me the closest one to me is in a nearby city and driving in big cities is rather anxiety inducing.

Well, people are piling onto this episode and I just have to say... Yeah, I'll kick this episode while its down. It is not good. What is good is that this is the worst TOH episode, it only gets better from here.

This episode is usually considered at the bottom of people's tier lists of Owl House episodes. It does advance the plot with the reveal of Eda once wanting to join the coven, but the story was mostly just filler. However, as a long term fan I do really appreciate it for King's story, mostly because it is the biggest look we get in season 1 of Boscha's gang outside of school and the fanfiction and side-character lover in me eats that up. Most people will say that season 1 is good but has some not so good episodes like this one, but from episode 15 onward (Where Disney gave full creative control to the show staff) the show does not have a single bad episode at all.

This episode is almost unanimously considered the worst Owl House episode. Also, the first two half of the first season are kind of just Ok. Only near the end of season one is that the show starts to get good. But in compensation it gets really good and then keeps getting better.

You don't need wifi to use a computer. Before my desktops power supply blew I had it running with a hard connection through an ethernet cable. They do have landline telephones so they could easily have internet running through ethernet cables.

Episode 5 of supernatural academy is honestly got me even more interested in the story and I don't blame mischa being jealous of jessa having powers and i was the same way with my two big bros and little sister having jobs and i really want one so badly but i love to work at a bookstore or movie theater but i gotta be patient about it because i know my mom can still be a bit overprotective of me being autistic and hoping when i do get my job I won't mess up on my first day or get upset with anyone which i can understand also jessa and terra argument and fight got me scared for them including mischa and glad brax was very accepting of jessa because he's a true amazing love interest for jessa 💙 and mischa shifting for the first time made me so happy for her till at the end when she couldn't shift back which got me so worried and yeah the cliffhangers always get so upset as well i hate them so much 😅😂 but awesome reaction like always 👏

I’ve heard the joke in the fandom that Luz is “Blightsexual” instead of Bisexual cuz of all the blushing in this episode, and it cracks me up every time! Also, I really appreciate someone picking up on the fact that Amity wants to be nice, but feels like she can’t be. A lot of the diary entries were red flags for me, and I really appreciate someone taking the time to actually try and understand, while most people just laugh at the “called my teacher mom again” line.

One of my favourite episodes of season 1!! I just love how we finally got to see this side of Amity and she and Luz were able to start repairing their relationship. I just know you will love Amity and I'm not saying that just because she's my second favourite character after Luz. And I do love the twins too. Their family is a... interesting one.

Fred and George vibes are I think completely intentional on Dana's part. She's clearly read Potter and makes the occasional direct reference.

"I called my teacher mom again" is a short line that doesn't get much attention... but my goodness, what does that say about Amity's home life?

Oh I have been looking forward to this episode, especially since you were one of the viewers that sympathized with Amity very early on. And now we get Amity genuinely smiling and laughing! A historic moment for the show.

For the first 2/3 of Season 1, there was a lot of pressure from Disney, but the last 5 episodes or so, Dana Terrace had a lot more freedom to do things the way she wanted. (I hope that doesn't constitute spoilers) Really enjoying watching your journey!

Crikey! Amity has the best arc in this season, Id's say the whole show if season 2 wasn't Season 2. So the Bat Queen wasn't surprised to see 3 babies instead of the one she left, so she's either aware that they ate each other or she deliberately let them to make the babysitter job look easier for Eda. Which one is worse parenting?

With the twins, I'd bear in mind that as Amity's siblings, if Amity's having trouble at home, they probably are too...

I've always wondered: Are there no books outside the library? We later see books in Willow's room books. Aren't they affected? Otherwise the phenomenon would definitely be known.

Let's just say that this episode of supernatural academy was honestly insane and it had me at the edge of my seat I was scared to death for Mischa Jae and Brax especially the Faerie realm was so interesting and I kinda near that mermaids and harpies are part faerie because of the legends i read on them 😅 but learning that trolls are also part fae was also so cool to learn and headmaster kristov i had my suspicious on him especially from the start of the series till much later and i did like santra from the start but had suspense on her too it was also heartbreaking that how jessa and Mischa LeBron were separated at birth and good on louis for saving them before the enforcers took them because of their dragon marks ❤ and I will be honest i plan to get a dragon mark tattoo like them during my birthday next month or Christmas holidays because I'm really into dragons too 😅

Loved this reaction! I just love seeing you theorise and speculate on the characters! This is a fun episode that I feel gets overlooked a lot by other episodes, but it sets up things like Willow once being Amity's friend.

Its not just magic/being powerful that gets the conjuring to work the ppl who do it together have to bd close as friends to be able to even get it to work. If u think how Amity stays out of the group and doesn't talk or act like them thats saying something even more so about her and Willow and Amity's parents. Also Eda said that Luz must hold powerful magic in her we don't know how but it shows that humans can possibly posses magic some how too.
