Well done young man 👏👏Be always proud of yourself as a dyslexic person 💯
Great info and thanks for sharing! Congrats on your progress.
My grandfather put the wires in the navy boats in Brooklyn in the entire boat. My other grandfather was a building supervisor, kept the boilers from blowing up the building on the regular in Syracuse, NY. Your kind of knowledge is valuable. Maybe discuss how you knew what to tackle first in fixing your atv after it got waterlogged. Anything else you’ve torn apart and rebuilt. An idea 💡
Thanks for being brave and sharing your story!
Do a comparison of your academic condition from when you were in Elementary school to when you got help to the present.
Many times Dyslexics think more logical than someone with a 'normal' functioning brain. More power 💪 and all the nest to you
Hi Zach thank you for sharing I need your opinion. My son is 12 years old, he has dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalcutia and dyspraxia, as well as a bad word code. The loneliest boy I know. How to help him since he does not want contact with other children
Maybe a team sport Like soccer or something?
How to help my son to enjoy reading?
I still don’t 😂
But I would recommend him finding something that he is interested in
My son has dislexia he is 8 years old we had a hard time making him read, until I found out which books he enjoys readying comics he reads captain underpants😂😂 and most of the time his books gotta have pictures !
Give them some time to get bored. We have Calvin and Hobbes paperback books, my middle son loves those. He was shut down for a while, was just too frustrated to learn. We gave him the gift of time to decompress when we brought him home to homeschool, before his 2nd 9th grade (yeah it was bad/long story). Gradually he got curious again. He discovered he likes Documentaries (for him specifically WW2 stories about planes and pilots). We also had action movies as a good neutral place (I have a hard time keeping up with multiple story lines, so he gets to be the smart one who understands what’s going on and can explain some stuff to me later). We’re both ADHD so he gets it. Pay full price for their ticket 🎫 get some snacks. It makes them feel like a grown up, #WorthIt #Priceless
Thanks for sharing your story, Zach. My daughter is 9 years old and has dyslexia. She is very smart but doesn't feel like she is. We have always homeschooled so she hasn't had to feel the pressure of school but she is terrified of the prospect of going someday. I'm glad we homeschool but will probably be getting her a personal tutor this year. Thanks again for your message and sharing your story.
If you don’t mind me giving a recommendation for a tutor. Silverliningsed@gmail.com her name is Enid and she is great I get on a zoom call with her for 2 hours a week and she really helps me she also has a website same name just take away the @gmail.com it should pop up tell her Zack senkeresty sent you !!
