If you were wondering why I was so sweaty during the APT tour, this is why. I had to clean this place from top to bottom before turning in the keys. This is just some extra footage that I threw together with a beat.

Super helpful thank you
Love the no nonsense, straight shooter talk.I appreciate you!
Thxs helped a bunch
Do we need to adjust the temperature in both the top and bottom panel?
@@2dapoint424 Yes.
Thankyou
You’re welcome
This type of water heater is very sharp and will cut you. Wear gloves always! I put tape on the edges of mine.
I have two of these heaters side by side, how do i know which one to turn up?
it’s a water heater not a hot water heater
How do i know if i have 240 voltage or 208 voltage electric water heater?
You can use a meter to check the voltage, but most likely it will be 240 volts.
@vanjitsu132 Thank you .
Is the “Hot” setting 140 or 120 usually
Thanks
Hey where can I get one of those scientific fog machines.
So my top panel is just a metal knob and nothing else. There doesn’t appear to be a temp gauge at all. I could only find a way to adjust the bottom. But this definitely helped me get that far at least!
Good instructions. Thank you.
I don’t understand why you need to cut the power just to turn the thermostat knob? Why would the thermostat knob be designed that way? Do you cut the power to adjust your a/c thermostat? To turn your lights on?
Because there are two live wires right by the thermostat and it’s basic safety. You can do it without cutting the power if you want, but that’s on you if you get shocked.
Your great 0:24
You fo a good job
120 degrees normal, test with thermometer at faucet a while after adjusting.
Do top and bottom be set the same or bottom set height then top
They need to be close to the same, but it’s no big deal if they aren’t exactly the same.
Great video, thank you so much.
You’re welcome!
Awesome video, I will be doing this later today thank you for your guidance! 🚿🛠️
Thank you 🙏 You’re welcome 😎👍
Do the top and the bottom elements have to match? Could one be set less hot and the other more hot?
They need to be close, but it’s no big deal if they aren’t exactly the same.
Really great vid man, I though you nailed it with the safety first. I have the same one and could not find the temp control settings. Question though If your going on vacation in summer what mode would set it at?
Thanks man, I appreciate that. If you are going to be gone for a while then you can turn it down a bit to save on power. I’m not sure what you mean by modes, it should just have a dial that goes up or down.
@@vanjitsu132 Thanks for your answer.
😊Thank you for the video. 😊
You’re welcome, glad to help. 😎👍
What a total waste of time. Just show what people are asking. What a waste.

Best help ever especially being a home owner. Thank you
I also subscribed everyone should
Thank you!
This was a great video...Really helps me understand what the 2 panels are about...thank you....is this pretty un iversal or are there different ways for different water heaters?
It’s pretty much universal for electric, may be different for gas.
This was exactly the way you showed in the video....thanks again!
You talk to much....
Thanks bro!
We have a Reliance water heater that’s out of warranty from 2016. Water get to scalding and always has. It’s been checked by plumbers with no solution and reliance won’t help. Suggestions?
My first thought is that there may be a problem with the thermostat or the switch that turns the elements off when it’s reached temp. I would try to talk to the manufacturer for a troubleshooting guide or technical support if you are wanting to try and fix it. The other option is to replace it which would be expensive.
Great informative video.
Clear, to the point, no BS, no loud, crappy, totally unnecessary "music", no stupid "merch", no begging for likes and subs. SAFETY was demonstrated as paramount - great job!
Thank you!
@@vanjitsu132 Aw, c'mon, you EARNED it!
I am assuming that turning down the temperature would be the same only reversing going up to hot to turning the temp down. I just bought a house and while I was washing dishes, the temperature became so hot that I slightly burned my hands. Thank you so much for your video!
Yes ma’am, that is correct.
Big help, thank you!
Hey man, super helpful video. How long does it usually take after I reconnect power for you to notice an increase in water temp? I can hear it doing its thing but not sure how long it takes.
It will take about 15-30 minutes for it to get up to temp.
I have trouble keeping my water hot it stays cold all the time
There may be a problem with the hot water heater.
It’s not a “hot” water heater. Water heater
So glad you took time out of your day to clear that up. We can all rest easy knowing you are out here saving UA-cam from people like me.
Thank you 😊 💓
You’re welcome 😎👍
Extremely helpful‼️. Thanks!
Thank You! Imma do mine today!
super helpful video, thank you sir 👏🏽
Hello. I gotta question? Can you help me with my electric water heater? Water running COLD 🥶
Check the breaker to make sure it has power. If it still doesn’t heat then the elements could be out and may need to be replaced. You could also replace the entire water heater if it’s really old. Hope this helps.
The title is wrong on this video. It's a water heater, not a "hot water heater"..😄🤌
What about ID the proper water heater breaker in panel?
Why do they have 2 panels? Why not have the reset button on the bottom panel? What’s the difference between those panels?
They are separate heating elements, top and bottom. There are some water heaters that have everything in one panel. It just so happens, this particular water heater has two panel. The process is similar for both types.
Thank you! Your video gave me the confidence to do it.
Magic heater man veritable veritable
We didn't watch your video first but I don't think we did anything but maybe we did because now or hot water heater is making a noise when I turn on bath water should I be concerned?
When you turn on the bath, the hot water heater will begin to fill to replace the water you are using in the bath.
Thanks for this video. This just solved our problem in the shower.
