If you were wondering why I was so sweaty during the APT tour, this is why. I had to clean this place from top to bottom before turning in the keys. This is just some extra footage that I threw together with a beat.

      You can use a meter to check the voltage, but most likely it will be 240 volts.

    So my top panel is just a metal knob and nothing else. There doesn’t appear to be a temp gauge at all. I could only find a way to adjust the bottom. But this definitely helped me get that far at least!

    I don’t understand why you need to cut the power just to turn the thermostat knob? Why would the thermostat knob be designed that way? Do you cut the power to adjust your a/c thermostat? To turn your lights on?

    • @vanjitsu132
      @vanjitsu132 Рік тому

      Because there are two live wires right by the thermostat and it’s basic safety. You can do it without cutting the power if you want, but that’s on you if you get shocked.

    Really great vid man, I though you nailed it with the safety first. I have the same one and could not find the temp control settings. Question though If your going on vacation in summer what mode would set it at?

    • @vanjitsu132
      @vanjitsu132 Рік тому

      Thanks man, I appreciate that. If you are going to be gone for a while then you can turn it down a bit to save on power. I’m not sure what you mean by modes, it should just have a dial that goes up or down.

    We have a Reliance water heater that’s out of warranty from 2016. Water get to scalding and always has. It’s been checked by plumbers with no solution and reliance won’t help. Suggestions?

    • @vanjitsu132
      @vanjitsu132 Рік тому

      My first thought is that there may be a problem with the thermostat or the switch that turns the elements off when it’s reached temp. I would try to talk to the manufacturer for a troubleshooting guide or technical support if you are wanting to try and fix it. The other option is to replace it which would be expensive.

    I am assuming that turning down the temperature would be the same only reversing going up to hot to turning the temp down. I just bought a house and while I was washing dishes, the temperature became so hot that I slightly burned my hands. Thank you so much for your video!

    • @vanjitsu132
      @vanjitsu132 2 роки тому

      Check the breaker to make sure it has power. If it still doesn’t heat then the elements could be out and may need to be replaced. You could also replace the entire water heater if it’s really old. Hope this helps.

    Why do they have 2 panels? Why not have the reset button on the bottom panel? What’s the difference between those panels?

    • @vanjitsu132
      @vanjitsu132 Рік тому

      They are separate heating elements, top and bottom. There are some water heaters that have everything in one panel. It just so happens, this particular water heater has two panel. The process is similar for both types.
