Cachaça: A Brazilian spirit made directly from fresh sugarcane juice. It's similar to rum but is distilled from the juice itself, not from molasses. It is often enjoyed in cocktails like the famous Caipirinha.
The basic process for producing alcohol from sugarcane typically involves:
