Happy birthday Jacob!!🎉🎉
Interesting, you read a lot of Paley?
No, not a lot!
Wow amazing 🤩 great location Welsh are the original Brits
The original Brits were wiped out by the celts migrating from Europe. The celts were pushed into Wales and Scotland by the Romans, Saxons. Nothing left of the Brits that build Stonehenge and put up this standing stone I’m afraid. But great still to see their mark on the land.
All the best from Australia.
Where in Australia? I was converted in Brisbane.
Horse shit.
God bless you (and your family). Thank you! Lovely explanation of first families as church, very Hebraic. Think His children are moving back to the 'family' biblical Acts church model. Thank you LORD for bringing this just at the right moment, very healing.
Bang on brother
Wow, I was stunned when you popped onto my UA-cam feed, I've not seen you for about 20 years. I last saw you as a leader on an EMW camp I was unsaved at the time but by God's grace came to salvation in Christ soon after. Thank you brother for faithfully ministering to me and many others back then. I was having this conversation regarding these same three priorities with a brother only a few weeks ago. Completely agree! Bless you brother, ive subscribed. Love in Him, Mike
Hi Mike; thanks for getting in touch! Remind me of where you were from back then? Where are you now?!
I was from Grace Baptist Church in Southport, I used to get into trouble quite a lot on camps but I'm grateful for the grace and patience of the leaders including yourself. I'm still living in Southport but go to a church in Ainsdale (Ainsdale Evangelical Church). I went to camp every year between 1998 and 2005. I was born again in the chapel in Bala when I was 17.
Agree with what you said
You don't answer the question about the contradiction and then you go off on some weird tangent sin is bad
Governments generally do the right thing apart from martial law and enforced 💉
I voted Reform, third largest party in the UK
Blessings, I am amazed at the truly indescribable joy that I am filled with. I am in a season of answered prayer. I am witnessing miracles. I believe on the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Amen. Thank you for your message.
Growing up in Greenmeadows in late 60’s to late 70’s a lad called Johnnie Jones lived there (with his family)before the lake was dug out. The road past the farm to the lake was merely a dirt track. The original bridge where you cross the reen was demolished as it was unsuitable for JCB’s to pass (90 degree bend)and extremely old, a new one built to soften out the bend and the reens were widened. In those days we called it Hendre Lane and my parents told me Greenmeadows was originally Hendre Fach.
Thanks for the info!
Don't be afraid to ask your neighbour, friend or colleague if they'd like to read the Bible with you. You can say a number of weeks so it doesn't seem endless. You'll be surprised that ppl will be quite willing to find out more. You don't need to be a Bible scholar to do this. The Lord will help you.
Symbolizes by the sacrifice of God Jesus Christ we can now come bodly in the name of Jesus before the presence of God Almighty
Hey, randomly popped upon your channel. I respect your approach and work. But wouldn't it make more sense to submit to the One that Jesus submitted to? The One Who created Jesus and us. I wish you peace and may the One that created us guide us towards what is true and fair.
Ah thank you for taking time to contact me.😃 Jesus made many claims to be our creator and did many things to demonstrate just that. His resurrection from the dead backs up his claim. It also shows that his death is enough to blot out our biggest problem … sin! I’ve no time for religion, only the reality of knowing Jesus as Saviour.
Yo

Love the song👍
Thank you. ❤
Thank you and God bless you!
YES the greatest is LOVE
beautifully done sir
'Christos' is a translation of the Hebrew word 'Messiah', meaning 'Annointed One'. Like you, Andy, I am a convinced Christian: meaning my faith does not start with the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, but with the 'salvation history' of the People of Israel. But - as Christians - we cannot simply take every translated word of our scriptures at face value. The late, great, Geza Vermes (himself a Jew, and translator of the Dead Sea Scrolls) has, for example, a theory about how 'virginity' came to be associated with Mary. The Hebrew word used in Isaiah is 'almah, which simply means 'young woman'. The Hebrew for virgin is betulah. The translators of the Septuagint (Hebrew into Greek) used parthenos (which can only mean virgin: not young woman). Personally, I think it matters little whether Mary was virgin intacta, or simply a young woman: for what turns an ordinary, insignificant birth, into one with momentous human and cosmic implications, are the events we celebrate at Easter. The point I am trying to make is that - today - our Christian faith is under attack from all quarters: not least from 'moderns', who consider it 'unreasoned' and 'unreasonable'. Unfortunately, it seems those whom the Churches appoint to 'leadership' positions are not the scholars they once were: and are incapable of mounting a defence, and account, of our faith. All of the Theologians and Biblical scholars are in Acadaemia: they don't accept bishoprics. Where are the Michael, or Ian, Ramseys; the JNT Wrights? In such a context the mythology surrounding the birth of Jesus may be useful for Primary School Nativity Plays; but it is our task to make it relevant today. Christian 'scripture' is still being written today: just as Jewish 'scripture' continues to be written. Yet we treat our bible as though it were the Christian equivalent of the Koran. It was not intended for that purpose.
The two fold fulfilment of Isaiah 7 made the choice of word “young woman” absolutely perfect! The immediate fulfilment was indeed a young woman; the Messianic fulfilment was a virgin indeed! (See Luke 2; Mary saw and understood!)
Nice to find such an encouragement just looking for the correct pronunciation of the name Mnason! Hah, praise the Lord. 🙏🌻
How would you pronounce it?😃
@Andyfides I came for the pronunciation too haha. I would pronounce it similarly. Me-nah-sohn

By removing all identifiers, what is the need to identify? Defeats the object.
Ah, my video was too brief to cover all bases. My main point is that although we can still identify in many ways, once “in Christ “ this identity far surpasses all others and we can unite and be at rest without strife. So whilst remain a male, English, Burnley fan, husband, dad, granddad .,, in Christ dominates and I rest in that. Thanks for the thoughtful comment.
Intelligent design is assumed in the following subjects: Architecture, Archeology, Information Technology, Engineering, Literature, Sociology. All these things assume that an intelligence created the things studied. Why does it seem strange to believe an Intelligence created the incredible worlds and systems we observe around us?!
Argument from design has been answered repeatedly: the human mind is a pattern seeking device, it finds patterns where none exists. We recognize the watch as designed because of its contrast with the non designed natural world. Your claim "no argument has been found to refute this" is just you blatantly ignoring intentionally in a willfully malicious way, these two facts. Just go take a basic biology class and stop this blathering lying for Jesus non-sense
I’m a PhD chemist and a decent biologist. The argument from design is utterly cogent and clear. The first cause of all things, from nothing, is God. There is no other intelligent answer! Nothing cannot produce something, and something cannot be eternal … but someone can be creative and eternal.
Nobody's done anything to challenge this argument because the argument isn't falsifiable. There is no hypothetical evidence I can give to you that would definitively disprove it because it is impossible to prove the absence of something somewhere. The burden of proof lies on the person trying to prove the existence of a phenomenon. For any scientist, going after this work is a fool's errand because it's not an argument based on any kind of deductive logic. It's an inductive argument. With all that said, none of this even begins to get to the heart of the issue of whether or not any supposed god is benevolent or not. I'd argue that Yaweh certainly isn't, not when by all abrahamic accounts he'd have me personally strung up by the neck and stoned to death for the crime of having a consensual relationship with another man (And don't you DARE tell me that such isn't "real christianity". There are "real christians" in my government who want to legislate my friends into concentration camps based on biblical thinking, so quite frankly, I don't care who YOU consider a real christian when the Christian faith is doing me and my friends real, tangible harm). Not to mention the fact that, despite all the power he had to do so, he still created a world set up for humanity to fail in. The current world, when you examine it without rose-tinted glasses, only makes sense in two contexts. First possibility, there is no god and it's on us to build a world that protects human rights and our ecosystem. Second possibility, there is a god, that god is malevolent, and it is up to us to actively resist those commands of his that would have us murdering each other in violation of our basic human dignity. Last, I'd like to ward you away from using the fact that his work hangs up next to Darwin's as any kind of evidence for credibility. Lots of museums are funded by billionaires with very specific political goals, and that money often comes with strings attached. Strings like, hypothetically, putting creation theory on equal footing in a gallery with evolution in order to make the two seem like viewpoints with equal scientific approval. If you're looking to establish professional credibility, that's what peer review is for. Believe whatever you want to believe. I'm just a historian who's studied ages upon ages of how the Christian faith has revised, edited, deliberately mistranslated, and omitted its own bible to earthly political ends since the beginning. Clearly I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, I'll just sit in the corner while billionaires like the Koch Brothers fund Christian organizations like the Heritage Foundations to strip away worker's rights, raise our rent, protect murderers in the police force, raise the price of our medicine, degrade public school so they can sell private school to parents, and drive gay and trans kids to suicide so they can cover up for the rampant child sex abuse in the Southern Baptist Church.
Wow! Thanks for the time and effort spent in your careful reply. The argument from obvious design remains obvious and was always meant to be obvious! See Psalm 19. The universe cannot have made itself from nothing (even Julie Andrews tells us that!!) Also something cannot be eternal (basic law of science) God made it all from nothing. The clues are there!
How can the world and universe be designed by God, who is infallible, with so many faults? Sometimes literal faults. Tectonic plates that with a small shift, level whole cities… bringing down schools onto small children’s heads. A world that can be destroyed from overheating made by man that he created? The argument that the world must be designed because of the life on it goes to show what a fluke of nature we are, when we consider all of the thousands if not millions of worlds we have found that don’t support life. And even within our fluke there are many thousands of design mistakes that create only unthinkable suffering.
The faults are not God’s, but ours. Genesis 3 gives the inception of errors and faults - which explains the world as we experience it now.
Another great video Andy!
ANDY....Yes....Ground elder - a good analogy to sin....I have the same curse in my beautiful garden. But i wonder if we Christians fully realize how radical Gods solution to sin is? Perhaps we fail to give proper weight to the fact that we are 'new creations' God gives us his heart...and when God looks at us that's what he sees. In Gods eyes we have no sin, But often the 'accuser ' convinces us that we still have the old identity....we are still sinners. The mystery of our redeemed life is that it flows from our new identity...the new heart that God has put into us. If your struggling to constantly battle with sin....then might I suggest that your not fully understanding.and accepting your new identity You are a new creation, no need to struggle!.
Keep looking to Jesus! Our only sure hope!😃 Counted righteous in Him but still a sinner saved by grace. It’s why Jesus taught us to pray “forgive us our trespasses …
@@Andyfides With respect/love for a brother...Your falling into the old evangelical blind spot...You are NOT any longer a sinner saved by grace...You were once then you were saved by grace and now you have a new identity and new heart/spirit. You are released from the chains of sin...you are free Your new born again nature is NOT a slave to sin...You are free...free indeed. Many Christians are not taught this...Many Christians are left striving and failing -I pray that God reveals more of this transformational mystery to you.
Ah that an old error you are propounding! This side of glory although cleansed and forgiven we still struggle with sin (romans 7) Hence we pay “forgive us our trespasses”!
@@Andyfides Andy...i have been a Christian for over 50 years...I was in international Christian publishing for 40years....(published in 150 languages +) So i am not ignorant of the way different parts of the body of Christ think. I am also aware that most of us are entrenched in ways of seeing/thinking through years of affirmation preaching. I did not think that that you would want to weigh objectively a strangers encouragement to think bigger. .In the end none of us have the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth...That's why its important to listen to the spirit....and adjust/grow....right through our lives. I wish you ALL of God's blessings...we are on the same side after all.
We wonderfully can then agree to disagree on this!😃
Thank u for clarifying Amen Amen Amen Brother Andy

We must go through the 2nd Birth (The Spiritual Birth), because our Spirit was dead. GOD: "We shall surely Die". But Jesus brought Life because His blood released the Holy Spirit, giving our Spirit Life! Praise God for the 2nd Birth. John 3:3-6.
Brother Andy I wish you would have kept doing your daily devotionals and truly enjoyed them, thank you though for all your teachings and may GOD bless you and your family with His peace.
Hi Gary; which one? The Acts series?
@@Andyfides I think it was on the book of Mark but in general any devotional topic that you would teach on, I enjoy your teachings. And I don't know but you may have finished the devotional for Mark. Thank you my brother for responding, GOD bless you.
Ah I finished the Mark series in lockdown, then started a series in Acts during a three month sabbatical I had last autumn. I’ll try and restart that as I only did the first two chapters.
I’ll be in Mississippi next spring
@@Andyfides thank you very much I will be looking for the Acts teaching and will you be visiting the good people at Media Gratiae at brother John's church I believe it's Albany Mississippi?
A hearty Amen to your message Andy! ua-cam.com/video/z1-t_jaogto/v-deo.html
This us wrong. This one more instance of the Hebrew being translated wrong. The original Hebrew would have been translated into the aramaic and from the aramaic the greek translated it wrong. It is simon the potter. The pesshitta preserves the name
😃🤓🥳
Mark wrote in Greek and likely got the story from Peter who spoke Aramaic.
