Exactly especially during lecture class, I be taking notes in lecture class and my professor be going so fast my mind can't keep up and I be missing what he be talking about because I'm still taking notes

I like to take notes in the power point notes section, directly on the PowerPoint slides, or in a word document and do split screen. This way you're not taking notes on things already written on the slides. You're only adding info that the professor says in addition. Prior to class I do not prepare much. I probably do a 3 minute skim 😂 I planned to do a a more in depth video on notes, study, and test taking strategies this month but got really busy and felt it would be more beneficial to do at the beginning of January so it can be applied at the beginning of the semester for current students and new nursing students. So I'll have a three part series then so stay tuned!!!

You need substantial help and support first and foremost. Nursing school is the most unpredictable schedule ever. Some early mornings and some late nights. I couldn't do this without my mom at all honestly. I would also say go for a traditional program. Accelerated is fast and traditional will allow you to take care of your family. Get your life organized and get your sleep organized prior to starting. If you can sleep well, you can focus during class well. The more you focus and understand during class, the less you have to study.

@@emmanuelalouis2174 my OB clinical was 4 days total. One day in labor and delivery, one day in mother baby, and 2 days in NICU.

@@tashakayden2434 I cannot wait! It's getting real ghetto in these nursing school streets 🤣 I'm trying to stay grateful and take in every learning experience. I will say while clinical assignments are not fun, patient care is still so fun for me so it shows I'm in the right place at least!
