The IMU Community Engagement office (IMU Cares) is an arm of the university to drive the objectives of the university towards sustainability and community engagement initiatives, to create positive social impact to our communities.
IMU Cares, also known as the IMU Community Engagement office aims to build and conduct sustainable community engagement activities with the community beyond the University. We aim to provide our IMU Family a platform for experiential and holistic learning. We have aligned ourselves with 4 pillars based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG); namely UN SDG 3, 4, 10 & 12. We advocate good health & well-being, quality education, reduced inequalities and also responsible consumption and production.

2022 Workshop Series: Institutionalising Community Engagement - Levers For Change
IMU has been invited once again by the Talloiress Network (TN) to organize and host a webinar on a topic of high interest among TN members as well engaged universities across the world ie. institutionalizing community engagement.
The interactive webinar session on “Institutionalizing Community Engagement - Levers for Change”, was held on 11 March 2022. 3 distinguished panelists from 2 public (University Sains Malaysia and University of Malaya) and a private university (International Medical University) shared their unique experiences in community engagement at their respective institutions with the focus on challenges and lessons learnt, incentives and levers for change in making community engagement an institutional priority.
