He was disrespecting his mother, and I accept that it's wrong, but it's a bad reaction from his father. It makes no sense for him to threaten him (The look he makes, the words he says), since it will never be a healthy environment if someone is afraid of her parents. The correct reaction would be to talk to the child since he reacted very badly, and teach him, not the one the father had. By this I mean that habits are formed, and even though the father did not do it with bad intentions, he gets used to it and it is not healthy for either the parent or the child. @@MayShowersx
