fields of mistria has a lot of quality of life elements that stadew lacks 1. you can access shops 24/7 2. every single character has a unique personality and purpose 3. you can see the npc’s on the map 24/7 and interact with them whenever you want 4. the mines are slightly more strategic, the enemies have interesting mechanics compared to stardew valley’s sword spamming 5. new animals such as a capybara, bunny, and alpaca 6. you can change your outfit whenever you want without having to store clothes cons about fields of mistria: 1. it’s an early access game so there’s not a whole lot of content 2. there is an overwhelming amount of forageables, enemy drops, etc and the game doesnt provide you with many chests. there are inventory upgrades however 3. fishing in particular takes a lot of stamina and theres no real great early game solution for stamina regeneration 4. you dont make nearly as much money as you would in stardew. the game is significantly less grindy and as a result, there’s not many ways to get insane amounts of money early on

"similar to", yes. They're both pixel art, farming/life sim games, and therefore have lots of similarities that are staples of the genre. "rip off", no. This game has plenty of differences and unique selling points!
