The Alliance is an initiative of Stop Foodborne Illness (STOP), leading food companies and organizations committed to the goal of preventing foodborne illness by utilizing compelling personal stories of individuals and families who have been impacted by a severe foodborne illness.
The Alliance is also home to the Food Safety Culture Toolkit, an award-winning, multimedia resource designed to advance food safety culture at small and medium-sized companies. The Toolkit is the proud recipient of the 2024 IAFP Food Safety Innovation Award for its groundbreaking development of an accessible resource library.

An Introduction to the Alliance to Stop Foodborne Illness
Through the Alliance to Stop Foodborne Illness, those directly affected by foodborne illness are provided the unique opportunity to work in innovative ways with the food industry to foster continued improvement in food safety. There is no other vehicle like it for enabling ongoing collaboration on food safety between food companies and consumers.
