I was told by stastics professor to start my own business. I didn't know whether to take that as an insult or compliment. He's right long behold. However, i really don't know actually the business i would start, deslite me being a teacher.

I'm a DC Secondary HS Math teacher. I agree mostly with what he says. How do we align education and its content to who the students are, and how do we make it cool? We are using technology such as Meta Quest googles. Just the technological advancement alone is cool to the students. Students are engaged because it's a different level of intelligence. I believe the old way of learning is hindering our students from tapping into their full potential. I work in a school where the classes are over an hour long. Our classes are way too long. But it's a district policy that we don't control. However, we mitigate it by implementing real-life metrics that are conducive to career and college. For example, on Wednesdays, seniors and juniors are out of the building for the entire day. Some are doing community services, some are at colleges, and seniors are at internships. I believe Dunbar High School in DC has some things happening that are revolutionary. Unfortunately, there isn't the amount of progress produced from these initiatives. I do believe there is a school leadership, school district, and the policies that are counterproductive.

I have found that if you eat quality whole foods you don't eat as much because you get full faster.
