I was considering using the Roland T-8 and Korg SQ-1 to sequence the NTS-1, but I just discovered that the T-8 can send MIDI sequences out from its bass synthesizer! 👌✨ Wow, it's such a powerful and compact setup. Amazing Job and the cynematics are spot on 👌 how did You achieve this gritty, analogue vibe?
I created a waveform similar to a saw wave, added some internal distortion, a bit of oscillator feedback, applied filtering, and played really low chords. Hope this helps! 🙂 I'm thinking about making a tutorial in the future. 🙃

I hear that kick from T-8, super punchy!
True! Internal distortion of T-8 really makes drums punchy! 💣 (Plus a little bit of compression in ableton 🤫) And it's a simple device but it is hard to make it sound bad. 🙂
Really liked your choice of groovebox and synthesizer. I have a question about how you mix them, the sounds from each groovebox?
Thank you! 🙌 Volca Bass out goes to NTS1 input, NTS1 to T8, T8 to S1, S1 to My Volts MickXer input. Tr-6s output straight to the input of MickXer. (Realy nice, basic, 5 channel stereo summing mixer)! So in this way I'm using only 2 stereo inputs and the mixer out goes to the Zoom H1 recorder. Feel free to ask any questions! 🙂
