A Brothers First Bear
Переглядів 3004 місяці тому
I am so happy to finally be able to share the story of my brother Marc's first bear harvest. Please note this video does have some very graphic imagery of hunting and processing an animal. Check out these companies that helped play a vital role in todays video. Trail Cameras provided by Spypoint www.spypoint.com Attractants provided by Proxpedition www.proxpedition.com

Bear season is here. I get my first two sits in and the actions starting.
Last set up for the hunt
Переглядів 795 місяців тому
A long day in the woods, setting up the stand, fixing the barrel, setting up the new Spypoint cameras and baiting. I take you into the woods and finish the day off with a nice sit in the stand talking about why I love bear hunting.
Opening the bear site and scouting a test site
Переглядів 916 місяців тому
I hit the woods in search of another bear site. And I also drop some bait and spray some Proxpedition jam to get the scents moving in the woods. Bears will be waking up very soon.
Black Bear Hunt - Trevor VS Lugger re-loaded
Переглядів 4297 місяців тому
Back in 2021, Trevor and I spent a weekend hunting which resulted in the biggest bear I had ever laid eyes on come walking into the site. It was posted for a short while, but was taken down after Trevor expressed concerns he had. Fast forward 3 years and Trevor gave consent to repost a hunters heart breaking story of Lugger, the toughest son of a gun bear I ever did see.
Buscrafting with Max

Deer site feeding and winter rabbit hunt
Переглядів 1378 місяців тому
I take off into the woods to get some work done at the deer site and fill the feeder. Then I do a bit of rabbit hunting.
Christmas hunt and supper in the woods
Переглядів 2909 місяців тому
A lot of walking and talking and a little bit of walking and talking, finished off with a small fire and some Christmas music. Yup not your typical video.

My Winter Feed Setup
Переглядів 19210 місяців тому
Too many cameras not doing a darn thing in storage. So I grab the feeder and a bag of Rack Stacker and head out to the deer site to set up for winter feeding. Since I started deer hunting I have always put out winter feed. For several years I was in my original hunting spot until someone stole a camera. Last years spot was not close enough to the wintering yard. I am hoping this year it is.
Deer season wrap up
Переглядів 24010 місяців тому
Dear season had more ups and downs then a teeter totter. I had six weekends of filming that I tied in to put this video together.
Nearing end of season and the rut begins
Переглядів 3211 місяців тому
The rut is on. but I only have 4 days left in my season for hunting. So bait, refresh scents and set up a scrape dripper. This deer season I have been using the following products. Proxpeditions - Apple Jam, Chestnut Jam and Chestnut cereal. Black widow Lures - scrape juice Wildlife Research Center- Magnum dripper.

Great Video!! Thanks
Bahhahahaha.,I'm up in eastern Canada and we use the ol' MM scale...lok
@@ChasinTrailsOutdoors I am sorry, I didn’t catch that you are in Canada. I thought you were in the USA and pandering to Europe. I will change my dislike to a like and subscribe to your channel.
You made my day.... Really, you did ! LMAO
Glad you laughed lol
another mixed bear bag this season! Good on Marc for insisting to bring out some of that bear to use, that's a positive attitude to have. The editing on this one was really good too I thought
I agree, he could have had a much different attitude about that bear after finding it. Thanks for watching.
Wicked awesome Guys!!
Thanks John.
Congrats bud! And u got ur favorite bucket back hahaha
Thanks Nicco.
Nice. Congrats
Thanks.
That's some great action for just 2 days in the woods!
The site is seeing between 2-4 bears most nights.
Those ruts are a familiar site! I just baited my first site of the year yesterday, it makes me glad to have an Argo to bring gear in and out. I see you have another new video out already too, I'll check that one out later as well. Good luck this spring!
Great video, we just started bear baiting/hunting for the first time in our back property outside of sussex.. been baiting since April 1st but no bears showing up yet. Hopefully something comes in this season.. looking forward to more videos!!
Thanks for watching, good luck on this springs hunt.
Our bears just started last week.
@ChasinTrailsOutdoors Awesome! Any tips for starting a new bear baiting site? We're using molasses, bread, corn, vanilla and old cooking oil. Raccoons and skunks seem to like it so far!
@@maritimeacreshomestead you seem to have a great combination of bait. Don't let it go dry and you should do great.
Lol, always an adventure driving the back roads this time of year!
Hahah you know it but I just got nice all terrain tires put on
good video. i just got a Flex in January. just opened it up and playing around with it. if i wanted video. do i have to pay for it ?
Depends on if you are an insider's club member. But, to buy a batch of HD video is not expensive. But remember it always stores it on the sd card.
That is some crazy bad luck with the rain washing away thr blood. Also, was that the same bear that came back on the camera?!
Yes. It was the same bear. Apparently he somehow managed to miss every vital organ.
@@ChasinTrailsOutdoors best of luck to you two this spring, make sure to give us a redemption series if you see him again!
Nice hunting record!
Thank you.
Looks like a beautiful day in the woods, looking forward to seeing your spring bear content in the coming year!
Me too. Bear season starts in a little over two months

Ohhh bud I'm sorry. Check out @bigtuna6
Merry Christmas and happy new year!
Same to you As tevo
Nice video. Happy new year.
Same to you
very nice. I'm glad there's hunters like you to keep the wildlife population safe lol.
Us too!
Good spot! Cant wait to see more videos. Love to see the bear. We dont have any in my area.
Thanks for watching.
Your makin some animals very happy!
Yes, thanks
Good video, i like them with music added!
Thanks!
I’m quite sure those first does weren’t running from the porcupine. That’s exactly how they act when a bucks been hot on them. He may not have run across the bait pile. I’ve watched them circle the bait pile to harass them without getting to close. In the passed it worked for me to let a grunt go right after they run off. Buck came in pissed off.
Man I was pissed when that porcupine came out. But since seeing those two I have a better understanding on how they approach the site.
That's too bad about being skunked, but that's what makes the successful seasons so exciting. Have you ever looked into the Grand Manan special archery hunt? If you put in for your doe tag on Grand Manan (which they have more tags for than applicants) you're allowed to take a doe with a bow there, then go to DNR and they will issue you an antlered deer tag for the mainland. It might be good content for you, and aside from a nuisance tag, I think it's the only way to take 2 deer legally in NB.
I've been talking about doing it for years. But just haven't got the time to set up trips down there.
Does are the best bait to have around! Eventually they will come into season and the bucks will be chasing them. Good luck Tim
.
No doe tag this year, or just not looking for a doe this early? Good luck with the rest of the season, I just got back in from my own hunt, glad to see a video!
No Doe tag this year. If I did, it would have been a late night venison roast lol.
the only thing missing, is a cartoon dog popping up and laughing lol
I agree.
Aka Tyson
Hey Noah it’s me his son lol
Hello, thank you for sharing, it's great!😄👍
.
Hello it is me noah if you're reading your comments
Hey Noah.
What is the scent you are using on the licking branch of your mock scape?
It's code blue tarsal gland scent
CFmoto uforce 600. Geez dude 😂🤣
lol
Thanks for sharing... Always good content!
Thanks for watching!
Hello dad
Oh so sorry thought this was my dads comment
That is pretty decent for what it is. It shall come in handy. Tim its good to see you adjusting to stay safe. Chainsaws dont cut flesh, they remove flesh, so major damage. Have fun with it and be safe my friend. :)
You bet
👍👍👍👍👍
Chasin. brathtaking ,farewell!📽
real
Thanks for watching.
@@ChasinTrailsOutdoorsyes
Finally got a chance to watch this, great job bud, congrats
Thanks Dustyn.
He first baits the bear, then kills it. That's not hunting. Why did you promote this?? As for the "hunter" where I'm from that's illegal. In total, how many ft did u walk in hunting this bear down. Proclaiming... This bear has a white chest. You might as well been sitting in a rocker on your porch.. Douchebag
How you choose to hunt and what is of course entirely up to you and what would be lesl to practice in your area. As long as you are following the law and being ethical, we have nothing we can say to stop you. Here in New Brunswick, baiting is perfectly legal and is also the most commonly practiced form of bear hunting. You are certainly entitled to feel how you do, but nothing wrong or illegal or unethical was done here.
@@ChasinTrailsOutdoors Thankyou. I'm in Ontario farmland. Baiting deer bear fox by hunters is frowned upon. Hunters however don't mind the legwork, where as baited kills are often arrested and associated primarily with liquor violations. The description of Baiting is killing with a pail. Really no skill involved but bragging rights
Big sows are difficult to judge, it happens. I find your best measurement is always the head size and the nose. Almost always they appear as they should have a big head and it always looks slightly small compared to the body. Also look at the tip of the nose. Almost all noses end in a flat blunt end with a slight upward hook.
Thanks Steve
Awesome video! Congratulations!!
Thanks bud.
wtf...
😮
Congrats brother
Thank you
Congrats on the bear 🎉
Thank you
U made my dad really happy thanks for that
Great video 👍👍🐻 I never unload my gun till get to the truck period!! Folks good luck in the Great outdoors 🎏 🐻 🐾🦌 The Vermonter and Legal American!!
Thanks for watching.
Awesome episode, paying too much attention to that cub is the exact sort of "mistake" I would make. I love watching animals from the stand. Good luck to you and your brother with the remainder of season!
Thank you.
Great video buddy, young bear got a well deserved pass but maaaaaan to turn around and realize you had a nice one right there as he’s walkin away big oops moment!! lol hope he comes back next time you sit!
