It's good to see someone on UA-cam who's willing to try making something different - and more difficult, and that might not work! Thanks for sharing.
I need to make one of those for myself. Thanks for sharing!
I'm enjoying your tool making projects. And thank you for showing the mistakes along with the successes. I'm not an expert, but I think your original design with the neutral rake seems better. It just needs an insert with more built-in relief for clearance. ...Or does nobody make inserts in that shape, that have enough relief? Thanks for sharing!
Kindly share a dimensioned sketch I would love to make one kindly
Nice explanation, very useful

An asymatric dril !!!!!! Thats freaking brilliant❤❤❤
Try hardening the holder. May help
👍
very clever 😁👍
Thanks, sir
Good job. We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎
it's not a CNC, it's a manual milling machine. You can see more details in the full video on my channel.
Nice job. Regards Doc from Australia.
Dijual g mas pahatnya 😂

Ok mas, beli online dipake masih getar 😀
Awesome video
Definitely on my to build list. Nice job!
Nice job! I’m going to make one. Do you have any drawings you can show?

Excellent job.
Outstanding !
Yes, I have a lot of time to do it
Why didn't you grind where the head sits? Won't it be out of alignment with the tailstock now? The tailstock will sit lower.
because travel milling is not enough
I've been uploading for a long time how I centering tailstock. check the playlist on my channel
The long nail on the little finger, is it for releasing clamps with slotted head screws?

Very nice work sir
There’s a difference between accuracy and making money
I spoke too soon. Thank you for the machinist lesson. You got skills
Hello KereAktif Engineering: 4:15 Where is your ground coming from??? You're grounding through your lathe gears, bearings, chuck, etc. ???
I attached it to the foot of the machine
is your lathe bed filled with epoxy granite ?
No
Well done👍
Nice piece of work that!
Safety Glasses???????????
Coba buat holder bor 50 mm bang dengan mata pisau insert
Diusahakan
A small stripe of sandpaper (800-1500)+ a file.. an a lot of work is saved
yes, I also think like that. This is my little experiment considering that this tool has gone viral recently
Lathe work starts at 3:57... :/ As far as constructing the tool holder.... why not just use a bolt and bushings? That was a lot of work on the milling machine to make it round, no?
for strength and rigidity when resisting pressure. the bushing is simpler to make but it will reduce rigidity
Using sockets and a hex wrench for parallels. Gets a finish that any of us would be proud of!
Mas kalo tailstock nya anjlok diganjal pake apa ya?
Anjlok gimana?
Dicoba aja dulu
That is a great idea. Just came across your channel today. Keep up the good work.
No safety glasses
Nice vise handle. We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎
Gretings from Brazil
How they always should have been made
I agree! And I don't think it wouldn even be any more difficult or expensive to cast the original wrench with two sockets instead of just one!
Name insert.
ZDFG or BNM maybe
Good work on this tool holder. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum last week 😎
Thanks for share this video, sir
What’s the finished dimensions roughly please if possible Amazing job and simple way of making art
Which dimensions do you mean?
Hallo What is the angle at minute 9:28 video when you cut the piece?
45° sir
Thank you.Iwill follow your channel. Best regards
Ok. Thanks sir
Thanks for the video. Upside down cutoff is a good idea but there are a couple of problems with yours. Tools bolted to tool posts have greater extension and less rigidity. The other thing is the angle, it should be ~5 degrees, you can cut that in the end of the blade but then it makes sharpening a pain. These blades get sharpened a lot so you want to just be able to touch them up on the grinder.
Thanks for your comment sir. of course this still has some weaknesses, especially in the toolpost. in the next video I plan to make modifications to that part, cheers
