I have a rocket 2968 4000kv in 9ne of my boats and I'm running a 4216 prop with a 150 flycolor. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think the 90 esc will cut it. You must really like that boat because that was a lot of work you did, especially the bottom. I've never seen anyone do that. I hope you get it to not kick out now. Can't wait to see it run.

Very cool.. and nice progress! The story bit about your bass boat reminded me of a short time way back, when my old man had a similar bass boat. I can't remember exactly what it was, but he hated Mercury engines 😆 ..swore by Johnson only! The top of the hull was a very deep red like yours, but it had the metallic flakes in it.

I know my current "best boat" is a plastic Amazon special, but it handles pretty nice at about half throttle. I think the battery weight in the left rear helps keep the boat planted in the turns, but it's to a point.. too fast and it's football time 😆👍

Viper. I like a few deg of neg on rudder ( end towards keel) helps keep em pinned in turns.

How does the bottom of the hull look. I'm wondering if there's dimples in the bottom that's causing it to jump on the water. Just a thought. I've blueprinted a couple boats for the same reason and it took xare of it.

I have the big brother to this boat and it builds easily but the toe in fights the turn fin. They gave me a strut that mounts with 2 screw on the side of the strut(same side) so the torque of the prop moves the strut. I ended up putting a different one on after I told them what a piece of junk it was. My ski is about half the boat length and is plywood, i noticed that yours is very long. I've been running the same motor with a 4216 and it does great, also running a 120 flycolor since i do have the room.

Ace hardware sells 1/4" tube clamps if your boom tubes are 1/4" . 4 of those would work

You should mod and mount the fins of the heatsink to add to the cooling surface. 👍🏼

Great video. I have done the exact thing to mine and it works awesome. The only difference is that I plugged the side hole with jb weld. Jb weld works great on this application.

Pretty neat.. I have a passion for sailing that comes and goes. Definitely see myself getting a sailboat at some point, but I'm not aware of any clubs in my area. This would be fun on a windy day for the challenge 🌬⛵

It's great to see something different. I bought a focus 3 a few months ago and I've never touched one before. It's been really difficult in setting up the boat. Everyone has a video on how to build it but no one tells you how to trim it. I've had it out 2xs and have had to figure it out on my own. I can say that I really like the boat and sailing. It is completely different from motor boats and a bit more challenging. Anyone into boats needs to try sailing. Thanks for the video

I like the boat. My only negative and I hate giving any, is that you might want to do some cool down laps. You were mostly full throttle back and forth. I'd hate to see it butn up. But noce video.

Looks good! I'm guessing 48mph and like the thinking with the sponsons turned down, but maybe just a bit of up angle to help with chop and leaning into the turns? I'd say yes on the turn fin as well. I just learned how it can affect a mono.. pretty big difference! BG4L🚤💨
