"Thankfulness" (Psalm 136)
When we spend our time rejoicing in the things that God is doing, it leaves little room for complaining and grumbling. Understanding that even the frustrating things that happen serve a higher purpose and contribute to our ongoing sanctification is enough to rejoice in the midst of trials. The psalmist reflects on many of the good things that God has done, even though some of them took place amidst times of great trial. Despite all of it, the outcome is sure that God's steadfast love endures forever.
