Pamela, Debbie, Charlie and I recently took a roadtrip to New Orleans. We did lots of things, but one of my favorite as a photographer, was touring the Mardi Gras World. It is the workshop where they create the floats and all of the incredible pieces that adorn them. Pamela, Deb, and I (Charlie had to work) took the tour and then they let us wander to our hearts' content among all of the pieces...

These pics were from one day of our Viking cruise. It started in the very picturesque wine country valley (lots of castles), included a stop at a very historic abbey high above the river, and ended in Vienna.

Just some "snapshots" of the 12-day trip we made with Deb and Charlie to get away from Wisconsin winter. Trip went to Reed-Bingham SP in Georgia (near FL border), to Caverns SP in FL Panhandle, and to Big Lagoon SP outside of Pensacola. Stopped for a day in Nashville on the return trip.

This is a slideshow of the trip that the FOI (Friends of Iowa - our canoe buddies) made in early September of 2021. We rented a houseboat to tour the southern half of Voyageur National Park. The park was lovely; the company was marvelous (as always); the fishing wasn't so hot; but the sheepshead games in the evening rocked :-) I, being a lazy bum, didn't go on all of the excursions that some in...

Some of Mr S's Pics from 2021 Summer Camp. Lots of smiles and fun moments. Mine are mostly from our campsite itself ... I didn't get to the merit badge sites too much. (These are about 350 from the more than 1,200 I took during the week ... they don't call me the "paparazzi" for nothing! :-) ).

These are my favorite pics (only 300 out of nearly 2000 :-) ) of the Urbanek/Shefchik trip to the southwest. We rented a houseboat on Lake Powell for 5 days so we could relax and cruise around; and we rented a VRBO home in Utah so we could tour Bryce Canyon and Zion NPs. Great Trip!

Sept 2020 trip to Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Did several distillery tours (many closed due to Covid), Churchill Downs sunrise tour (saw horses exercising), Kentucky Horse Park, biking on along the Ohio River in Louisville, a bluegrass festival, and a tour of the Louisville Slugger factory. Great fun ... and tasty!
