Hii, My friend i am real estate and b2b expert. Do you need any kind of leads ?
What is predictive is Social cohesion in team building defines success rates. 1-do you like the people you work with, 2-do you have the psychological safety to voice your concerns within that system, 3-can you express your strengths within that system.
I absolutely loved the Happiness Advantage and agreed with it 100%. I do think this one (Big Potential) also has great points to it and ”big potential” but I have a couple of concerns with it that I don’t quite agree with 100%….Yes, getting through things and getting things done with others is easier and helpful and can contribute to our happiness…but what I didn’t like or had an issue with that it gave the feeling that you CAN’T be happy if you don’t have the social support system or someone to help you or share it with. It gives those the feeling they are lacking and won’t be able to be happy unless they have someone, and that’s not true. There are tons of people who are alone and who can’t find a partner and don’t have a lot of friends for all kinds of reasons and I would never want to add to that stress by suggesting the only way to hapoiness is by having someone. But rather encourage them because you can find happiness even in the shittiest and most difficult situations (learnef it from my dad who died of cancer and despite knowing he’ll die, he never once complained or felt sorry for himself but chose to concentrate on things that made him hapoy and concebtrated on each moment. He taught me how to live in the moment. Abd that we can choose to either concentrate on all the negative and what we don’t have in our life and make our luves even more miserable….or concentrate on the positive and on what we do have and try to help ourselves to make our own lufe easier…the choice is ours….So pretty much like the Happiness Advantage.) So while I agree thst yes, of course things would be easier if you could have friends and a special someone to share your triubles with…not everyone has that. Or people can have friends and a family but all of them are shitty people so it’s making their situation WOsrSE, and they’d probably be better off alone. That’s sort of what is a pity, that no one has ever looked into the asvantages of being alone too, because there is good and potential in that too. So instead of putting presdure on thise who are alone and making them feel like they can’t possibly be happy alone or that they are lacking or what not…it would be great to maybe package it differently or mention the advantages of being alone as well. Also the making everyone state what they are greatful for at work is a great idea…but only if it is done on paper anonymously and someone reads them out loud. There are people who get really stressed out about needing to speak in front if others and those who wabt to keep work and their private lives separate so making them talk in front of others will just make them more stressed out. Yes, most people probably won’t mind, but I’m just trying to bring out the fact that there are people who are shy and who are introverts who will feel immense pressure and stress if they have to do that. So just suggesting that while the idea is great, the exercise should be done in writing and anonymously so that those who are shy and introverted and private can also participate without dreading the meetings or even worse, avoid and skip the meetings because of it. Just something to consider.
I like Seligman's humility and I think in his field that is an important trait. I work for a charity assisting disabled people with IT and his work has informed ours in numerous ways, starting with learned helplessness. There does seem to be a cohort effect at play here, the military are rather good at axioms, for example 'Morale and productivity are directly proportional, if one goes down it takes the other with it, and if you can lift one you will lift the other.' Compassion has (IMHO) a role to play in several aspects of PERMA, so I suspect (specifically) compassion meditation might have a measurable effect in a species plagued by existential dread. We are still in the early days of psychology and neurology, which may explain why the Google algorithm took three years to suggest this one to me.
Thank you very much for the amazing talk, Mr. Bush. I had an inpression that serendipity is a kind of modern alchemy.

Homo Donator versus Homo Oeconomicus: Two Visions of Human Action. There were two important cultural phenomena in the twentieth century. On one hand, the expansion of technopoly, which based its operation on instrumental rationality and therefore affected destructively the spiritual realm of man, was growing while, on the other hand, there were attempts to apply the humanistic and personalistic vision of entrepreneurship, based on axiological rationality, to the economy. Studies and projects belonging to the humanistic stream are based on the assumption that at some point in history, human labour became deprived of its human nature. The humanistic vision of entrepreneurship “materialized” over the twentieth century in the form of social economy and humanization of work, while the personalistic vision took the form of the Christian corporate enterprise, servant leadership, personalistic entrepreneurship and the Economy of Communion. The essence of the personalistic approach, which complements the humanistic approach, is to build a “community of work” that allows personal development through work as well as cooperation.
Interesting points about the connection between travel and mental health. It's very complex; the idea of finding yourself in unfamiliar places seems dubious, and I've known a couple of people who have broken down from culture shock.
Fascinating. Professor Seligman, a Jewish Psychologist, (main author of Positive Psychology - which seems to be good help to most people) - makes a point here to quote a Catholic religious Person (a woman Julian of Norwich) from the Black Plague times from the middle ages, as an example of Optimism and Resilience. One can quote many people on optimism, but very interesting that Seligman choses this example from Julian of Norwich, in the Catholic tradition.
Brilliant discussion of what truly matters to the human condition and how so much of what we "thought" we knew turns out to be incorrect. There is so much more to unpack here! #peace #love #connect
‘I got her an XL’ 😂
Personally I’m a full hedonist who prefers to avoid painful struggle, I play games on easy often times. I disagree that pain is needed to live the good life, nor do I think there’s any moral value to suffering. Also I find that BNW quote to be sickening tbh
Totally agree. Pain sucks.
Hai I am Sarah Lipson from India
Shawn is awesome. You should consider starting a channel
Bad experiences can be seen as lessons but the lessons can not always be made useful. Not least, one must be allowed to learn from the lesson and be given the opportunity to practice it before one can possibly get something good out of it. (A child who can barely read will hardly benefit from reading a medicine book! If not get bored and hurt).
The perception of pain has a lot to do with the damage it signals. The reaction is not always under conscious control but when the extent is not known, there are many good reasons to prefer a chronic ailment rather than an acute pain (which you do not know when and how will end). Laboratory tests are in some cases so controlled and damage-free that they deceive .Especially when the investigator himself is biased.
Preferring to approach the goal through suffering in some cases is based on the same strategy as expressed in the old saying: "Just remember to close the door behind you!" In other words, competition mentality, whether it is a conscious choice or not.
I work at a massive coffee giant retailer as a manager and loved your Ted talk. This video is so inspiring and uplifting that I can’t wait to start leading my peers into gratitude talks and emails daily! Thank you for all you do to motivate others to be better together and not alone.
So much wisdom here! Thanks for sharing.
Paul Bloom is amazing 😉
