Honestly it’s weird, I came back in 2023 after like 7 years, I was having fun and things were fun and all and ppl were trading fair etc. I came back this month, and here’s what I have to say, my favorite thing about animal jam was new items, new animals, new looks, etc. one of my favorite things to do is to create new looks with each animal. I also love doing art on the game but no one else enjoys art anymore. As for Headdresses they have been my favorite item since I started playing, I’m 22 now and have been playing since I was 10. This game was so fond to me, but the best thing was playing the mini games, doing adventures, and decorating, playing with friends, and trading. I came back this month, accepted a fair trade in variety for my pet seal, and am just trying to get rid of one of the items to get it to solids or use it as variety, but EVERYONE WANTS OVER TRADES AND EVEN WHEN I OVERTRADE ITS NOT ENOUGH. The worths in this game are actually stupid because I wiki shows actual worth but they don’t talk about the social worth of items because you could have an item worth 6 solids and no one wants it. Honestly what is the point. I’m not good at creating games but I would absolutely love to re-create the game in Roblox or make a better version because play wild is just bad. I wanted to make videos again, but I have no idea what I want to even do because trading isn’t viable, no one wants art anymore, there’s no minigame players anymore, no new animals or items, it’s all just dumb. Not to mention all people want to do in this game is create “my shop”s and that’s it. That’s like the only thing to do these days is shop around and even then it’s like you can only find bad rims, not actual cute items you can actually use to make cute outfits. Idk man I agree with you, yeah I’m a grown ass adult, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a game I loved. If the community of this game wasn’t so shit we would still be getting updates, but all people care about is getting rare in such odd terms now. I remember when a black long was not just currency!!! It’s just sad that items I genuinely just like and want for outfits are worth hundreds of dollars. I genuinely don’t know what to do anymore. I wanted to try to get Ajhq to see people playing and asking for new updates but it just isn’t going to happen because no one actually wants to play the game they just want fake wealth and it’s just sad. THANK YOUUUU I am so tired of everyone saying that the game is the problem. I’ve been playing since 2010. The economy, the silly items worth 200 black longs, the “WiKi” being the Bible for trading, the mistreatment of artists and streamers or creators in general, the elitism and toxicity, and the standard of “never accept an under trade”, “buy low sell high” etc… ALL OF IT IS PERPETUATED BY THE “COMMUNITY”. I got all of my dream items before being hacked and losing everything. The community is the problem EXCLUSIVELY, and I was part of the problem in the way that I would treat people just because I had “good” items. This is incredibly harsh but I genuinely believe some people (like my past self) needed to lose their items to realize just how little they ACTUALLY matter.

Bro aj classic is somewhat legit, Ajpw is cancerous. Unless you got 10 bands to spend you are literally worth shit to everyone. Literally even after you might spend $10,000 you will die of boredom sitting in trade dens.

Forest boots on ajpw went from $10 to $40 overnight is wild too. I love making fits and just want a decent drag, rc tail, wind, a few bows, archer hats and spikes. Other people want 400x that just for a single party item or headdress on classic.

PEOPLE SPENDING $150 on a shitty pair of alpha drag or party items are the downfall of ajpw especially when the seller knows the items are literally worth $10 at most. Party potions just got re-released and people are HOARDING like no tomorrow. Literally every single person now wants a party double tail. Literally trash items worthing them at 1 WHITE BOW (5 BLACK TIP RACCOON TAILS OR $120.00 USD) for trash colored items. Light and dark items as well, like WTF is wrong with people. This is why nobody wants to trade anymore.

All the greedy hoarders in trading dens on ajpw hoarding all the party items and betas, only accept over trades and want one of every single color of party bowtie and forest. WOW one shade darker or lighter is TOO MUCH!!! oh no! But i will spend $300 for a shittt color party drag or rc tail! Screw you i am working at 4 am blah blah blah. Then proceeds to host potion for potion only drops and makes 20 storage accounts and only invites buddies.

I am a teenager in the animal jam community, yeah, it WAS fun when I was like 7-8 but I didn’t even realize how bad the community was, I just turned 14 about 2 weeks ago, I have grown to realize that I MYSELF, a teenager will have to protect MY baby sister from a advertised “educational” game, I know when she gets older she WILL play animal jam. Since 2017-2018, I have seen numerous pedos, scammers, strip clubs.. yk. All of it, I was a non member for a while and I genuinely had fun. “Um-um! The trades suck…” well that’s essentially YOUR fault. Everyone has contributed to the issues, The community is actually horrible, it’s less the actual game, just the people, Playwild is for the children, classic is for the warriors of animal jam who have to power through the scary ass community. I have PONDERED about starting a youtube channel, not just AJ but for myself, I love AJC, sure, but I won’t just base my content around it because the only way you can get 50+ viewers is giveaways.
