A Family Weekender Build | Armstrong
A quick weekender for a family of 5. This is a 144 sprinter passenger van. We typically don’t work on the Sprinter Passenger but we took this on and customized the air conditioner shroud to accommodate our standard paneling (which we also customized).
A complete core build electric, insulation and paneling kit with an added Strap-Up bed system mounted to our smooth rail mounting system.
Customer planned out their build phasing with this kickoff, anticipating a Fu-Kit bed system next year. Adventure awaits for this family with a safe place to lay their heads.

A five pound propane tank in a drawer instead of a sealed container with gasketed door and proper latches in addition of a floor drain?

A private bath is 100% needed. DO NOT down play it. LOL. Also a shower. If you are single and a nasty MF'er with no home training. Then wear a diaper!

This is really nice setup. I can tell attention do details and quality materials used for cabinetry and upholstery. But you need a wet bath setup like Pleasure Way or even Road Trek.

Looks like a pain in the butt to adjust
Looks can be deceiving! We’ve received fantastic feedback on how incredibly easy it is to use the Strap-Up Bed. The best part? You can park anywhere and still enjoy a perfectly level bed for a great night's sleep.

Crapping in the van is a last choice option. Such a wonderful smell 🤮 Something i just noticed, your cabinet lid is level with the front. In my experience that causes the front of the cabinet to dig into the back of your legs. If you lower the front panel by about 10cm, then create a lip on the lid of that same amount, it makes going to the loo far more comfortable, because the front of the cabinet is lower and stops digging into your legs. Of course, then you need to be careful the lip on the lid against your back, but it is far easier to avoid that than the back of your legs. Just something to consider for future reference. Or not! 😉
Thanks Linda, the front is about 2" lower than the seat. One of our first prototypes did highlight that issue and was corrected prior to production. We find the 'Loo' is more for night time first in the morning 'P's and for the kids. Great to be able to pour on a tree and not have any chemicals. The lid does seal pretty tight.

I have that same little breville oven. It works an absolute treat. But! They’re a butthole to clean, and they’re going to need an exhaust fan over it, and their ceiling is going to be covered in grease. 😫 I’ve been seeing your videos pop up in random order over the last week or so. I have to say, I don’t like some of your configurations, but this one is fabulous. The fridge access is great and the two drawers above are nicely located. The way the bed flips up is very clever too. Your bamboo finish is especially appealing to me. If i lived in America, i’d be having a chat with you guys.
