So the biggest thing that the deck loses is Kirlia, and to an extent, the Radiant Greninja too, which is how you can draw so many cards. Otherwise everything else in the deck will still be playable, it will definitely not be the same, but I don't think it will be "unusable" by any means. Because we might get some alternative options to replace Kirlia, we could also see new deck adjustments that do well even without the Kirlia and just try to go straight into gardevoir as soon as possible, and a lot of other very strong decks are actually completely rotating away (All the Vstar decks), so it's hard to know what decks Gardevoir would have to put up with. What's funny is that even before rotation, the upcoming set in January, prismatic evolutions adds a single new card called budew, which can attack for no energy and it prevents your opponent from using any item cards. This is out in Japan already and it made Gardevoir become the number 1 most popular deck right now since it helps you get some extra turns to setup while your opponent can't use any items, this is another example of the deck may be losing cards, but it could also get some nice new additions!

On the Play Pokemon website there's an event locator that lets you know about upcoming official events, otherwise I join the chat groups of local game shops too to stay updated

Yeah charizard being weak to grass is really scary with all the teal mask ogerpons running around, and miraidon picking up in popularity is also dangerous for the pidgeot too

It can shut off any pokemon V abilities, the main ones have been Rotom (to stop the draw 3) but the most important thing has been Lumineon in Lugia decks, it's saved me from getting Boss'ed more than once!

Nice! I know the terapagos can help early game where you can't setup a Zard and it can still hit decent damage, and that plus noctowl might be a nice way to make up for losing stuff like rotom and forest seal stone once rotation hits

It loses the Kirlia's which is a huge hit because IMO the ability to draw so many extra cards is a huge bonus for gardevoir, we'll have to wait and see if there is an alternative that comes around for it

Wow! thanks a lot I appreciate it! I'm so jealous because I hear there are so many local events so lots of opportunities to play! Meanwhile here in South Africa there isn't much happening haha
